Is 180 over 110 bad blood pressure?

Answers: No, that is TERRIBLE blood pressure
That is quite high. You should get to see a doctor and get prescription medications. It usually takes two different meds and may take some trial and error to find a combination that works well for you.

Also, pick up a blood pressure monitor so you can keep track of your BP without having to visit the doctor or drugstore.

I was wondering how much i should be able to bench? I'm 15 years old and i weigh about 155?

Answers: You need to start with a comfortable weight and test your max.. Then keep trying to up your max by training with heavier weights. If you are training for wrestling or football, I'd say your max should be 240-260. For track, basketball or baseball, maybe 215-230. Yes, it can be done naturally. Eat lots of protien and workout with a buddy that pushes you do do just one more!!
depends on you really..
you should bench whatever makes you happy and secure about your place in life
Unless you're trying out for football, I wouldn't worry about this too much. Then again, I'm a woman. We never ask each other how much we should bench. It really would depend on your body type, maybe your height, and how active you are.
how much you bench depends on where you started at and your training program. there is no "natural" amount of weight that a person should be able to lift. you surly wouldn't expect a person that has never swam to be efficient at it, this applies to all sports.

Where can I get a good sorce of calcium other than milk?

I can't stand milk. I gag even when I see other people drinking it. I don't like yogert either. And I'm not big on cheese, but I'll eat it. I only have flavored ice cream, the vinella is gross because it tastes like mild. I'm sorry I so picky...
Answers: Calcium supplements are a good source, but you can also find it in dairy products such as yogurt and cheese as well as broccoli, peanuts, salmon, beans, and peas. Some brands of orange juice are calcium-fortified as well.
wow...were a lot alike!! im like the pickest eater..I HATE MILK!! & my mom is always trying to find ways to get calcium..
i like those little cereal bars with the frosting stuff in the middle..they are a good source of calcium!!
i just look on boxes for things like good source of calcium..
cheese-its have calcium too..but i guess you wouldnt like them!!
BUT DONT GET THOSE NASTY THINGS in the vitamin isle that are sorta look like tootsie rolls in a square shape..they ARE HORRIBLE!! every single flavor!!!!
vegetables like broccoli have a lot of calcium

Do you believe anaerobics is the best form of excercise? Have you tried it?

Personally I have been doing it for a few weeks now and its freaking awesome! I hear some people say some crap that it is bad but did you know people who work out anaerobically have as much as 530% more HGH in their system? And a lot more energy...

Anyway I'd like to hear if any other have felt this?
Answers: hands down it is the single best form of exercise. it provides benefits to every faction of the human body far more than aerobic exercise.
I think I need you too be my personnel instructor. And what is HGH. Can you hear my cry for help. lol

Is taking a Sauna beneficial to aid a cold?

Does it do anything?
Answers: No. You'll possibly expose yourself to extreme temperature change, which may reduce your body's natural immune responses. Boil water in a pot on the stove and carefully inhale the steam -- will loosen the mucus. A dab of Vicks in the water couldn't hurt. Same basic effect without the risk of pneumonia.

What are some side effects from eating too many peanuts?

Answers: Your stomach will start to hurt and it may give you gas.
You'll be nutty for a while...
(cue laugh track)

is it tooo much?

does it have every nutrient dinner should have? (protein, etc.p.s. i am vegan.)

would you eat this?

how many calories is in this meal?.

any comments..
Answers: if you are a vegan than that's about as good as it gets. it's not to much food or calories. I wouldn't eat it because all of my meals are animal protein based and supplemented with low GI carbs and/or healthy fats.

this site will tell you how many calories are in the foods that you consume:
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/se...
Looks healthy, but may be a little bit too much. Be sure not to eat too fast, it takes the food 5 minutes to reach your stomache. So you may not feel full until it actually reaches the stomache.

And also: I wouldn't eat it because I despise vegetables.
no.
yes.(lots)
no
like 150
comment: thats alot of veggies

best awnser?
No, it depends on how much you usually eat.

Yes.

Yes, I would eat it.

A few hundred I guess.

You would probably lose a lot of weight if you eat like that all the time.
i wouldn't eat it, not becuase its unhealty, but i am not the type who eats tofu.
this is much healthier than the average american diet, but you are forgetting much needed nutrients. try to eat bright colors, such as radient reds, which is in the tomato, and yellows. eating yellow (natural) food can include potassium and vitamins
One model for balancing nutrition uses the "plate method" for portioning out meals. Aim for:

50 percent assorted vegetables
25 percent protein
25 percent whole grain (e.g., brown rice)
One fruit
Water

remember, variety of colors is the key

Leg Exercises for People with Bad Knees?

I have painful knee joints, and I'm looking for leg exercises that will help me tone my inner thighs, quads, calves, etc. Lunges cause me a great deal of pain at the top of my knees, so I'm looking for an alternative. I'm only 23, so if I'm lucky I have many more years of exercising I need to do!
Answers: Try using a elliptical trainer/machine if you have access to one. It will help to tone your lower body while also giving you some aerobic exercise. As for strengthening exercises, I have noticed that using weight machines that do not put extra stress on the knee joints, such as those that you sit on rather than stand and put extra pressure on the joints. Good luck!
Walking and doing housework is the best exercise for losing fat and ensure that your diet does not include any high calorie foods. Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. From http://myweight.info

Taking alli?

Im going on alli on friday, I started to cut my calories back and fat. Has it be hard for anyone?
Answers: I started taking Alli yesterday (thursday). I started on a low-fat, low-calorie diet on Sunday. I have successfully eaten 5 meals and managed to not "go" on myself at work as other's tell you WILL happen. If you don't start a diet prior to taking the pills (great that you have already started cutting back - you're on the right track!), you will have those nasty side effects. If you eat a lot of fats in one meal, you will have side effects. Alli is not a pill to MAKE you lose weight, alli is a pill to HELP you lose weight. It is exactly what it is advertised as "an alli". It's just there to give us the little boost that we all desperately need when we diet. You will need to still diet the "old fashioned" way which means eating better and keeping active. I have found that keeping a journal of EVERYTHING i have put in my mouth really helps me realize what is high in fat and what is low. I wish you the best of luck and understand how hard the battle of the buldge is for some of us.
TWO WORDS: ANAL LEAKAGE
and lots of it, even the company tells you this stuff.
Do the work without the need of pills
I used to weigh 316 pounds last year (march 2006)
and now I weigh 230 pounds!
I am only 16 years old, I exercise daily and eat healthy.
I would take the negative responses that you get out here with a grain of salt. Many, many people simply oppose taking anything to aid in weight loss and are not afraid to tell you so. Unfortunately we don't all have the metabolism of a 16 year old boy. For the most part people that take Alli don't think it's a magic pill to melt the fat away without any work. If they do believe that, they learn quickly that it doesn't work that way. The bottom line is that your body is different then everyone else'. You may not be able to reach your goals without a diet aid no matter how hard you try. If your weight issues stem from a lack of exercise and a high fat/high calorie diet, then this program will probably work for you. Personally, I find it difficult to eat enough as opposed to eating too much. Either way you really need to strive to follow the guidelines for caloric intake and fat grams. If that means cutting back, then it will be a worthwhile thing in the end. Remember, nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels :)

Good luck.

Workout Routine help!?

So to start this out, I'm roughly 5 6 or 5 7. and about 140 lbs. I want to get more muscle, I have a little belly, but I'd rather do a workout where I can gain muscle and, its fine with me to lose fat a little at a time. I do aiki-jujitsudo 2-3 days a week, but I might stop that (long story short im too busy and have differant goals now), and I'm planning on joining the army ROTC program. And to sum up jujtisu I also need to save up money for a class trip, lots of money. So iwas thinking if I lift at a gym say 3 days a week, and then do pushups, situps, and chinups and maybe some barbell workouts on the other days how would that sound? Also, I know long distance running makes it harder to get muscle mass, so if i just run 1-2 days a week about 1.5-2 miles that wouldn't hamr it would it? cause i also want to be decent at running? Also, target has cheap protein shake mix ($20) oppose to $60 ones at GNC and such. I can manage 20 so I'm thinking would they be a good idea? Any advice?
Answers: Here's the thing - if you are going to be doing Army ROTC, they are going to have you doing a lot of running. And you need to fit in some decent cardio workouts anyway to deal with that little belly fat anyway and for general overall fiteness. Cardio does not make you lose (or make it hard to gain) muscle mass as long as you keep up the weight training at the same time. It only happens if you do cardio exclusively without the weight training. So my advice is to do cardio at least 3 days a week and at least do a 5K two of those times and one longer run a week. Then do the weight training on your alternate days. You should get the results you want.

Protein shakes don't do much to help as long as you are getting adequate protein in your diet - and most people get far more than they need. So unless you are a vegan, don't worry about it and save the money.
Do many push-ups and sit-ups every day. Run one mile four times a week. Drinking a lot of water is good also.

B
If you do a full body workout at the gym 3 days a week there is no reason to do pushups and chinups or dumbbell work on your off days. Just do pull ups and bench press / push ups and dumbbells at the gym! Overtraining sabotages your gains.

Protein powder is a good idea if you can afford it (you can get it cheap online as well, or at a place like Sam's Club or maybe Costco... look around).... of course if you are already eating 80 grams of complete protein a day, the powder might not be necessary.
okay, if you're not looking for something like a full-out workout, then I suggest running. I joined a cross country team and it had definately given me more clf muscle and has tightened my stomach. What you want to do is a workout that is based on up and down weeks. So to start out with go 20 minutes one week. Streck before and after really well because it is sooo important. First do a warm-up of about 1/4 of a mile(1 lap around a track) and then strech. Then go for your run. If you can't find a good 20 minute loop, go for 10 minutes and then turn back. When you get back, you can do a small workout and increase it however you want. You can try 10 pushups followed by 30 seconds of bows and toes(like pushup position but on your elbows w/ hands in fist for 30 seconds) and then 15 pushups. You can start off with 3 sets of these. The next week you increase by 10 minutes and then the next week you decrease by 5. Keep going until you hit about 45-50 minutes, whichever you can do and stick to it. If you want, decrease by 5 mins. one week but make sure you stay around 40. Remember to always strech and eat healthy- you'll be surprised at hom much that helps! Don't think that running is not a workout- it is! and never think its too hard because pushing yourself can only make you better. Don't have any dbouts- you'll see more musce definition and hardening in about 3 weeks!

How to strengthen hand and finger muscles?

Hello, I was born with a semi-rare muscle condition called hemiplegia (I believe) which renders my right side around half as weak as my left side.

I try to strengthen these by using them as much as possible (eating with my right hand, playing guitar, etc) but it's not enough.

I want to do his because I reached the pinnacle of my guitar playing skills, and unless I can strengthen my fingers to give them as much functionality as possible, then I will stay that way.

Is this even possible for me?
Answers: There's a tool out there called GripMaster. It's basically one of those hand strengtheners but it exercises your fingers individually. A lot of guitarists recommend this tool for improving finger strength, especially for that pinky. I'm a beginning guitarist and I have two of them in light and heavy tension. (I think there are four of them: extra light, light, medium, heavy) I also introduced this to a woman that I met who is semi-paralyzed in her right arm due to a car accident and she really enjoyed it and thought it would help her.

Check amazon.com or music123.com if you're interested or any sports equipment store.
just keep using the fingers and hand.

good luck w.e you try

How much should I weigh?

How much should I weigh? I'm 5'1 1/2-3/4 and I now weigh...127 pounds, please don't laugh. I think I should be around 97 pounds because I do cheerleading and I really want to be a flyer. So please tell me how much I should weigh and how should I lose weight healthily.
Answers: i'm the exact same height and weight! my weight just ranges from like 123-126.5 variously. don't worry, you're fine. i've calculated my bmi [weight according to height] and we're in the healthy range! so don't fret.

also, muscle weighs more than fat so it's also probably muscle that youv'e got going on since you're a cheerleader.
im 5' 2" and i weigh 96. i am very thin boned but muscular. i eat right and excercise. so you may weigh more than me but you might be big boned and you cant change that. you should like the bldy you have, and only you can tell yourself how much you should weigh. if you feel heavy then you should diet but if not then ignore everyone and be happy with who you are.
