Is chewing tobacco o.k. on a low carb diet.?
I chew skoal apple all the time. And a low carb diet seems to work best for me.Answers: I guess its okay if you don't swallow it. I can't really see the juices to contain any calories, not to mention carbs.
Chewing tobacco is never o.k. It is a hazard to your health.
Feeling Fat?
I am 17 years old, 5'4", and 116 pounds. I really want to get down to 108 pounds...advice? How can I do this? I know, I know...diet and exercise. But I already diet and exercise and I just feel like I have reached a plateau here. Some fresh advice would be nice.Answers: You actually sound like you are at a very healthy weight......

Answers: One exercise that targets the stubborn stomach area is called The Bicycle. To do The Bicycle, simply lay on the floor pressing your lower back to the ground. Your hands are beside your head. Bring your knees to an approximate 45-degree angle and slowly go through the motion of pedaling a bicycle. Your left elbow will touch your right knee and then your right elbow will touch your left knee.

To burn off the fat you have to do cardio. Until you burn off the fat, the muscle you build on your stomach will be hidden. (Sit ups won't burn that fat off)

how long did u do sit ups? 1 day 1 week 1 month.
Scientific study says weight loss less than 3 kgs before 3 months is dangerous. do abdominal exercises like crunches include side abs and lower abs. u need atleast 6-8 months to get some packs. What do u think packs are like pegs that u get in bar.......

thats because you cant spot reduce body fat - the only way to get rid of fat in any specific areas is by lowering body fat percentage.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I can not believe how jmuch i was eating!!! I would have never thought I was stuffing my face that much.... WowAnswers: I started doing that a year ago. Isn't it amazing? Have you started cutting your portions yet? I've lost over 40 pounds this last year. It is wonderful.
Yup. That's the best way to find out just how many calories you're taking in. Once you know that, it's easy to make adjustments.

Are Jumping Jacks an aerobic exercise or something?
Answers: For the first minute or two, they rely on mostly anaerobic energy systems (ATP-CP, then Lactic Acid). After than two minute mark or so, they go primarily aerobic. This is really how all exercise works.

When is the best time to jump onto an exercise machine?
An elliptical to be more specific (=After dinner? In the morning? After you eat? At 4:37am?
Answers: In the morning. That way you can give your body a jump start for the day and continue to burn your calories off throughout the day.
The best time for what? To burn the most calories? It honestly doesn't matter.
I say do it whenever you can find time! Working out at night works best for me and my schedule. I also think it's great to just get it over with first thing in the morning, then you can do whatever you want at night.
definateyl not after you have eaten, becuase you are likely to have it come back up. but id say about 30 min atleast after you eat, any time during the day, yes even at 4:37 a.m.
the morning is a good time because it wakes you up and you dont have the midday blahs
I go to the gym, after work on the weekdays. So I go around 6 pm and stay hour and half. I do 30 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill. The rest of the time I do weight lifting. Then, I come home and eat something light and healthy.
u do it whenevr u feel like it. before when i had a case of insomnia i started exercising at whatever time, sometimes at 11pm or later. maybe it was unhealthy but at least i had a nice body and wasn't lying in bed thinking all those strange thoughts
It doesn't matter. It's what's best for you. When you have the time and feel the best to exercise. If anyone says different they are clueless. About the only time I wouldn't exercise is very late at night.

Just keep moving. It's important to start exercising consistently early in life, so that it will become habitual behavior. Run, jog, bike, hike trails, work in the garden, whatever keeps you moving, do it! I love lifting weights and playing tennis.
Will there ever be a day when society wont?
make me feel bad about myself? I already fell into the trap of weight loss for "healthy self-esteem". Im angry at myself for saying I want to be thin and actually acomplishing it. I wish I never was thin. I wish I never let society get into my head again or my family. I gained all the weight back and more after 3 years of diet and exersize, now , everyone treats me cold again. I guess I got used to it when I was fat. I freaking did it the right way! no ******* pills, no starving , just eating less and working out with weight.NOw I have to lose weight again and there are these emotional issues to it. I both want to be thin AND fat. So what do I do now, who will be my new weight loss guru after the first one doesn't work anymore?
When will my body be mine ?
Answers: Your body is yours. Society sucks in its portrayal of women but it is not anyone else's responsibility to make sure you learn to accept and love yourself AS YOU ARE. You need to learn to empower yourself beyond society's perspective of the "ideal woman." That is how the patriarchal system keeps us down, by idealizing certain women and excluding others. Learn to love who you are. Develop a healthy life style plan, commit to fitness and eating healthfully. But more importantly learn to respect who you are. I guarantee you not a pill, a man, a thinner body, or social approval will ever provide you with the satisfaction and deep sense of worth that learning to love yourself will. Best of luck.
You did not feel good about loseing the weight because you did it for the wrong reasons.
you did it for society. when you do stuff for society you will never be satisfied
if you want to be satisfied with being thin then you need to do it for your own self.
your body is yours, not your husband/bf, not your neighbors, not society. f the society, think for yourself, god damn them that thinks for yourself, breakthrough that border, make this reality your own, they don't own you but they try to, so f them.
live your life, i too have struggled in this society telling me what the f i should do, well f them cause they don't even have the answers even to their own.

Please help! Why am i sore?!?
I used to live in the states where everyday for school we did physical education.But then we moved out the states and we dont do physical education for my grade.But i still wanna keep in shape so this morning i did a few push ups and crunches [[ for the first time since i moved here this summer ]]like my old school and now im feeling to feel sore in the stomach and my thighs.Is this because of what i did?Or what!?Am i doing this right!and no it wasent sexx or nything im 13!
Answers: You just haven't worked out for a while. Being sore is a normal thing. Keep working out if you like, but don't push it. Maybe take a day off if your sore. But don't worry, they always say "no pain, no gain."
Don't worry too much... give it a rest for a few days. Am sure your Phys. Ed. teacher used to let the class go for a short jog to warm up before doing the pushups + crunches. Follow the same routine and you'll be alright. As long as you are comfortable w/ your exercise routine, stick with it.

What are some great sports that are fun but target the butt,thighs and stomach! If thats even possible!All my friends keep saying your not fat,but i wanna loose alittle b-cuz i really should.!
Answers: well i played soccer..and it really toned my legs..but actaully they are really buff and bulky.
i know that soccer gives you buff bulky legs
and dancing and gymnastics give you liek lean toned legs.
also swimming is good for that too.
swimming it is so much fun, and it is one of the most physical sports you can do, plus your in the water and you don't sweat, i was a swimmer for 6 years
Does splenda help you poop?
Answers: Splenda , although "made from sugar", is not a natural product in it's end form and will not be broken down by the body. In some people, this will aid in expelling waste.
Is it that you want to poo or do you have the runs?
Eat fiber if you want to poop.
I've only tried using splenda in coffee. I have to really get to know someone on a personal level before I ask for that type of help!
Have you tried the rainbow diet?
Eating only fruits and vegetables that make up the colors of the rainbow 3 times a day?I need to lose 15 lbs by my wedding--I'm at 125 right now!! Rainbow diet sounds like it works. Whatdoya think?

You get one lunchbox size of fruits and grains in the morning and one of veggies and meats at night

You will defiantly loose weight
The only thing that works is eating healthy, working out and calorie intake vs. output. eat fish with no/ or min. low calorie sauce, veg, fruits, grains, bread, no dessert or only once week and work out at least 1 hr day. but i suggest 2 hrs day if you need to lose the weight quicker. work out at an intensity level that is challenging.
