Answers: Its probably what he eats, you can lose so much weight just by changing your diet. Heres what I did: Low to no sugar, NO FAST FOOD OF ANY KIND, drink water, crystal light, green tea and sweeten things with splenda, nothing made with white flour only whole grains, eat nuts that are natural (not planters brand), eat vanilla weight watchers yogurt and add strawberries and whole grain cereal to it (yum!), eat lean meats like chicken, turkey, NO pork. Take a fiber supplement it helps curve your appetite and keeps your pipes unclogged, if he craves sugar have him eat more protein (the body will crave sugar when it really needs protein), turkey bacon (louis rich kind) rocks, eggs however you like em. AND the best part is that you eat a moderate portion every two hours BUT nothing past 6pm. Take a multi-vitamin, eat green veggies-go easy on the potatoes (breaks down into sugar and takes longer to burn fat) and start walking everyday. This will work if he will do it. My best to you.
Tell lhim to stop eating all fatty/sugary foods, drink plenty of water and get at LEAST 30 minutes of really good exercise per day...my son (14yrs) is doing this and he lost 3.5kg in one week...I am so proud of him. And don't eat in between meals...

Answers: HMMM, most times the gut is related to diet so try this: No soda (diet or regular), drink water and 2% milk , crystal light, green tea, low to no sugar-try splenda, no white flour products including white bread, eat whole grain bread and cereals, NO fast food of any kind (this alone gives you a gut), take a fiber supplement-whatever you like (Fiber Choice chewables are orange flavored and sort of like a sweet tart candy), eat yogurt along with a regular low fat diet with lean meats and veggies.....and eat every 2 hours (moderate portions) during the daytime and not passed 6pm at night. this should reduce your stomach and you can do crunches, hold your stomach muscle in while walking...

Diet truly bloats us out and makes us look fat when really we are just full of crappy diet stuff. My best to you.
It probably what you eat. Stop drinking soda and consuming high sugars and fructose/corn syrup. Also try not to eat white bread, instead eat wheat bread. If you want to get rid of that gut your going to have to start exercising. Start doing cardio. Also eat nuts and almonds along with other protein like turkey. sit ups girl! and not crunches, but old fashion SIT UPS! they target the under layer of muscle under your abs. but throw in some full ab excercises too, it speeds up the process

one of my favorites is:
- lay down in sit up position with your hands in fists by your head
- go half way up, hold for two counts
- turn your torso to your left, hold for two counts
- turn your torso to your right, hold for two counts
- turn to your middle, go up a little more, and relax

it's really tough but it targets every part of your frontal abs and it works great i saw results after the first week. do as many as you can until you feel like you're about to pop your abs off.

and as far as the waist, do sit ups going to your left and right sides alternating.

You might need to detox. I had the same problem. I had to get an x-ray and it showed that i was carring around pounds of fecal matter. You can get one from CVS, grocery store or use the one I used. I got it from www.thedetoxlife.com. After 9 days you'll notice the bloating and waste will be gone.

Lemonade Diet?

Has anyone tried the lemonade diet? If so, how much did you lose?
Answers: I did it and made it to day 5. Surprisingly you have a lot of energy, but the salt water flush is BRUTAL. It gets to the point where you want to keep going because you have come this far but if you saw someone walking down the street with a cheese burger you'd murder them for it.
I probably lost about 3 lbs. but I didn't stick it out for the whole thing. It's also pretty pricy, and if you are going on vacation in a week, it's not enough time for the diet.
They recommend that you come off of it very slowly with raw veggies and fresh OJ. I thought that was a stupid rule and decided to jump right in and have a bacon egg and cheese... I did that on a Friday night and had to miss work on the following Monday...my stomach did not appreciate me going from nothing but lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper for 5 days to whatever the hell I wanted. This is coming from someone with a stomach of steel...I wouldn't recommend this diet unless you had ample time to recoop and weren't going to be around anyone that you care about a lot because I was VERY cranky.
No, sorry, I haven't tried this. I wouldn't dare.

I'd venture to say, though, that initially there would be a weight loss, i.e., the contents of one's colon. This could be as much a 5 lbs, depending on the person.

Have you tried the old, reliable cottage cheese diet? It works. The same weight loss as yours, but with less of a strain on the digestion.

i lost a stone a few months ago because i got so fat but then i pit it back on and more. my stmach is huge and my legs are massive and wobbly! now no matter what i do i can't get it off! pls pls give me some tips because i am way too FAT!

Answers: OK you think your way too FAT, so that must make you feel terrible. Just try these things: 1. Remember everytime you put anything in your mouth it can make you gain weight so NO sweets at all and eat half of what you would at dinner time. Portions make a BIG difference. If you crave something sweet then suck on a lifesaver. At least 4 times a week for at least 30 minutes excessive. Whether it's machines, sit ups, running in place, take a nice walk after dinner, do some excessive and for breakfast (small amounts & lunch too). Set a goal & keep it up, just imagine how much better you will feel & LOOK. Good Luck!!

here's a tip: keep eating, but eat food that will fill you up and keep you healthy for snacks. for example, a good snack could be apples and peanut butter or celery and peanut butter, bananas, etc. In football season, I did this for a week and I lost ten pounds!

the best method is to eat every 2-3 hrs during the day, don't go all day long because your body will store fat no matter what you do. eat a healthy breakfast and a healthy dinner. remember, it is more important to have a large breakfast than large supper. to lose weight, begin a weight training regimen 3 days a week (mwf) and do cardio 3-5 days a week (trs, or m-f). make sure you are getting plenty of rest also.

as for not eating junk food, its not easy. junk food is my downfall also, all you can do is surround yourself with healthier options such as granola bars instead of chocolate bars. also drink lots of water instead of soda, coffee, and alcohol. hope this helps!

Don't ever just have dinner...seriously te best way to loose weight is to start with a healthy breakfast even if it is just some fruit...but a better option would be some healthy cereal like special k ...you need to start the day off with breakfast to get your brain working!! Honestly don't skip breakfast...

Eat lunch too...because if you dont eat this tends to make you snack more on unhealthy stuff...Eat a sandwich or pasta or something healthy ...If after lunch you are still hungry try to snack on healthy options (fruit when available!!)

Ask your mum and dad to start cooking more veg or offer to make dinner and get some healthy recipes or even make just your own dinner...say that you really are committed to healthy lifestyle!

Try not to eat before bed because you haven't got time to digest this and it adds to your fat.

To avoid unhealthy foods during the day...don't take money then you won't be able to eat anything..just bring lunch from home.

Exercise regularly..skipping, running, swimming are the best ways to get rid of chubby legs...do situps and crunches to help tone up the stomach. If you think you may find it easiier ry to join some classes at a gym or buy an exercise video! It will all pay off believe me...and once you have got to your preferred weight ...dont stop with the healthy lifestyle because you will just gain more and more weight!

Don't skip your breakfast. That is the most important meal... Because your body needs the fuel. Eat something healthy. Ditto for lunch. As for dinner.... If you can't have a say in your main meal... I'd make some adjustments. Like adding a favorite vegetable and favorite fruit and I'd eat them a lot. Say, add a salad and an apple. Or orange. Avoid the junk foods by carrying your own snacks around with you. Eat veggies, popcorn w/o salt & butter, nuts, et cetera.

At the same time, STAY AWAY from the fatty stuffy. THings that have been fried or prepared with lots of oil. Stick to leaner cuts of meat. Avoid eating a lot of red meats---go for the chicken and turkey. Or fish. Like tuna or sardines. Something like 5 whole wheat crackers, 1 can sardines, 1/4 cup cottage cheese, and an apple would make a good lunch or dinner. Especially if you add a salad.

You do not have to starve in order to lose weight. In reality, you need to eat more and it all needs to be healthy for you. You'd be really surprized at how much weight you'd lose if you were only eating good stuff and a good proportion of it.
Losing weight is a very simple equation. Take in less calories than you use. It is somewhat more complicated because doing things like starving yourself or only eating one big meal a day will make your body slow down and hold onto as many calories as it can because it thinks you are in a condition where you may not be able to get food for a while.

Talk with your doctor about how much you weigh compared to how much you should way. Your doctor will be honest with you.
make sure you have a good breakfast, porridge or other oats release energy slowly so you can last til dinner, and don't skip dinner. try to have a banana or other fruit at one of your breaks. if you think your mum isn't giving you the right kind of food, offer to help in the kitchen or ask could she try different healthy recipes. jacket potatoes are easy to do. eating small portions more often is better than eating a lot at once.

Stairs PLEASE HELP?

Someone said if u run up and down the stairs for a strain twenty minutes, every day, that it will help u knock of pounds FAST, is that true (i know its good xercise but is it true it will happen fast)
Answers: Running stairs is both very challenging to your heart and lungs as well as your leg and butt muscles. So...relatively speaking it will help you lose weight faster than walking for example...but with weight loss...fast is usally because you can feel/see a difference at all.

begin a weight training regimen. do squats, leg curls, and calf raises. if you don't want to pay for a gym, do some lunges, body weight squats, and swiss ball/partner resisted leg curls. those will help get rid of the excess fat on your legs. also know that the first place you add fat is also the last place you lose it. good luck!

What can i eat during the day that will give me only 200 calories?

I am 5'2 and about 140 pounds. I want to lose 20 pounds. I really wanna lose the weight but I don't know how...I mean I exercise every day, I run 30-35 minutes 7 days a week. Answers: I am also 5'2, and was 140 lbs, my goal was also to lose 20 lbs, I am half way there. I elliptical for 60 min almost every day. What I mean by almost is that I attempt to go every day, but sometimes life gets in the way. I limit my calorie intake to 1200 per day, however technically I eat about 1600. When you elliptical for 60 on the weight loss cycle you burn about 400 calories, so I am still within my 1200 calorie range. If I dont elliptical I cannot go over the 1200. Read labels, keep a food journal of EVERYTHING you eat......don't forget the condiments! Drink only water if you can stand it, and get at least 8 glasses a day in your system. Eat breakfast! I eat a yogurt, and a piece of fruit......this jump starts your metabolism for the day. Also, while you are watching your calorie intake, keep an eye on your fat intake too, just do what you can to stay away from fat. There are many calorie counter websites, so if you eat out, and have no idea how many calories you are eating, you can look it up. I like calorieking.com try to break your meals down into 4 p/day if you can, and eat dinner as early as possible. Like I said, I have the exact same goals as you, and this is working for me........I am so stoked!

What is a "healthy" amount of Halloween candy a child could eat per day?


Answers: MMM... as I am still a "kid" I shouldn't really know this... but I do have SOME healthy habits, I think about 3 - 4 pieces depending on size, like a couple mini candy bars, or like 2 packages of Smarties. It all depends on the individual candies.
I think my parents used to let us have a couple treats per day from our Halloween candy. I was never really a hardcore candy lover as a kid so my supply would usually last until Christmas, lol!

Yeah, that probably isn't the healthiest, but hey, kids are still kids. Let them enjoy it.
Be very strict with it. Plan some form of allotment such as 2-3 pieces a day and keep the bag in the freezer. It is important to limit candy even though there is some nutrition there.What is nice about Halloween candy is that the pieces are quite small,yet they hit the spot.
