What is the waste product that is in our muscles?


Answers: It is lactic acid. It is a waste product that mainly after an anarobic workout. It is easy to minimalize it's effects and that is to strech before AND after you work out. Also if you have done a hard work out, make sure that you do a "warm down", do something easy that will bring your heart rate down and move those mucles, then strech.

Is an HOUR OF HARDCORE DANCING....and a mile run/walk/jog a day+eating great enough??!??!?!!?

Is that enough....if I eat great...no soda, no candy....small potions of really healthy food, and drinking 7+ glasses water, and walk/run/jogging a mile, and a half, AND
dancing extremely hardcore an hour a day enough to lose 50 lbs in 7 months?

you can eat a lot of healthy, fresh veggies in a day so make sure you don't short yourself.

I weigh 8 stone 10 (I'm 17 years old and about 5'12" in height. Can I get to 10 stone by Christmas?

I can't put weight on easily, but I don't a 'lot' but I get full really asily, and I'm just not bothered about food unless its like sweets or I'm really hungry. But I am bothered about being skinny, so how can I gain over a stone by Christmas.

p.s. Is there anyone else with my 'problem'.

If you're naturally thin, you won't have much luck. If you start to eat and put on weight then you must stay in control. Personally I think if you put on a stone that quick you will get permanent stretch marks and will feel even worse about your body.
You're 17. Give it two or three years and you will grow into yourself and can feel good.
Being confident is the key. Don't think of yourself as lanky. Dress in clothes that suit and feel good and get yourself a swagger instead of a stone.

What should we eat when we go out?

i mean to say sometimes we feel hungry when we are walking on the road. what should we eat then? something which is fat free. not heavy, just light.
Answers: My spouse and i split one entree, rather than each getting one.
I usually go for anything in the nut department (hahaha). But seriously, depending on what you like, try a handful of peanuts mixed with raisins (preferably the golden kind); try some dates with walnuts or try some unbuttered popcorn. All are good choices (portable and easy to find) that will tide you over. You could also go for dried or fresh fruit .
A word to the wise: don't go overboard with any nuts because they could feel heavy in your tummy. I always alternate a small mouthful with a few sips of water.

I need to loose 5 pounds fast!?

I need to loose 5 pounds as fast as possible, any suggestions!
Answers: Depending on how quickly you want to lose it, it shouldn't be too hard. Drink loads of water, avoid sweets, carbs, red meat & alcohol and start jogging.
Assuming you're not four feet ten inches and weigh 100 pounds, I'll bet you could drop five pounds in less than one week.

Here are a few tips:

1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if it’s just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Don’t say you don’t have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you’re worth it, right?

2. Walk as much as you want, but don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat.

3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. That’ll really help you “tone up.”

4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). That’s not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.

5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. People who don’t are 450% more likely to be overweight.

6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because you’re constantly digesting food.

7. Avoid these as much as possible:

-- Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)
-- High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)
-- Fast food
-- Junk food
-- White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes
-- The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)

8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:

-- Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
-- Beans/Legumes
-- Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!)
-- Dairy products (as long as they’re low-fat or non-fat)
-- Eggs
-- Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)
-- Olive oil
-- Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
-- Fresh fruits (anything that ends in “berry” is a winner)
-- Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)
-- Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)

9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day – just don’t overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one “cheat meal” every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you don’t gorge yourself. That’ll help keep you from feeling deprived and it’ll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.

I would say for like a week and a half (10 days) drink alot of water, cut out all junk food, dairy, and especially white bread.
Eat one slice of wheat every 2 days. No sweets or fats or fried foods.

As far as working out goes, do 2 hours of cardio (at least) up until the 6th day, after that do half an hour. If you go to the gym do the stair master.....it really makes you sweat....but you only do it for like 15-30 minutes. Work out in the morning, studies show your more likely to burn fat in the morning BEFORE you eat.

The most important thing is to drink water and make the water the only thing you are drinking......before each meal (4 small healthy meals a day) have one large glass of water so that you will be full by the time you finish eating. Eat one apple after every meal because it helps the food digest.

As far as meals: eat chicken (grilled) with vegetables on the side or have fish with side veggies. NO BEEF OR PORK!! Only consume 1000 calories a day.
Do not eat ,anything, after 7 at night.......No matter what it is!!!

If you follow all these things COMPLETELY you should drop 5 in no time. Don't weigh yourself until after 10 days so you don't get discouraged.

Definitely a low-carb diet for the quickest initial-burst weight loss. In the very short term exercise wont help you much; in the long run exercise can help for appetite control and muscle retention.

There is no question what you are looking for is a low-carb diet for a quick loss of 5 pounds. It will work even better than complete starvation.

Don't go off the diet right away after losing the five pounds. You'll regain them fast because most of the initial weight lost in any diet is glycogen and water which is replenished quickly.

How to stay active and awake for 16 hrs a day?

I have got a diff icult work schedule .I need to attend classes for 12 hrs a day and next 4 hrs wud have pjt discussion .I have never in my life worked more than 8 hrs a day.So pls say some tips to stay active and be awake during lectures.How good is green tea for staying active

I hope you're not doing this for more than a few days, because this is VERY unhealthy. An average person needs 8 hours of sleep a day, so really don't have any time for private life and eating.

Having said that, green tea is a bit healthier than coffee, so I'd go with that. When you're feeling really tired, go to the bathroom and wash your face with soap and COLD water, that should also help you wake up just a bit. Also, some vigorous pushups might be a good idea to get your blood flowing.

Answers: Hi Mizz!! I got an ab lounger and I know it's just stupid to spend $ on something like that but the lounger has been a great incentive for me to keep working on my stomach. As for results, I can honestly say my gut is hard as a rock, but I don't have much definition. Probaly my fault for not pushing myself harder. Results were slow. Work it girl !!
the ab muscles are always there, but you'll have to burn the fat that's covering them for them to show. so, you might wanna do some cardio.

Answers: Just stay away from Cokes, if you need soda, then buy coke zero or sprite zero, they actually taste pretty good. Also eat fruits for dessert and snacks and drink water every time your thirsty, that will curve your appetite. It takes a while,but the results will come and working out at least 3 times a week will help speed results.
Adding Water to a diet it very beneficial.

Keeping weight off requires you to work for it.... So Ask a personal trainer or somone about how many calories you need a day and ask them what kind of foods you should eat. Mostly tho, Do NOT eat white bread try to eat wheat bread and eat less sugar and more protein.
