Does coffee count toward your 8 glasses of water a day?

I drink a ton of coffee every day. Since it's made with water, does that count toward the daily amount of water you need to drink?
Answers: No, the caffeine is a diuretic and will pull water out of your system. If it is de-caffeinated coffee, then it does count.

the thing about coffee is that it contains the drug called caffeine and is not good for your body to have large amounts of it. but on top of all the coffee you should still have at least 6 glasses of water just plain water. water will make your skin rejuvenate it self and also give your body a better chance to flush out some of the toxin that your body contains.
No, they mean PURE water. It purifies your body and washes away all the bad. But don't drink it all at once. And don't buy bottled water, too many bottles to go through, bad for the environment. Fill up a squirt bottle, if you have one, of HARD tap water. Not softened, it's not good for you, only for your skin, hair and dishes. And just drink it throughout the day. Hope this helped!
no caffeine actually dehydrates you. so if you drink a cup, you should drink a cup of water to replace the fluid you lost. same thing with tea, any drink with caffeine, or alcohol. 8 glasses of water means pure water
no it does not. please dont believe people who say yes, coffee is mostly caffine and sugar. caffine is a drug that boosts your energy levels right up and they quickly come back down. Making you feel tired and dehydrated. It does not contribute towards your daily water intake.

A human being needs 8 glasses of water a day. You can only get that from water. You may get some from pure fruit juices.

You should stop drinking so much coffee, its really not good for you to take in so much. Same with anything.

How long does it take for you to loose weight with Hydroxycut?


Answers: That depends on how much you excercise and how well you eat. If you diet and excersise you can see a dramatic change in as litttle as 2 weeks. Excersice at least 3 times a week follow the directions on the bottle, drink plenty of water, and eat right dont eat fast foods.
Are you aiming to lose weight or lose body fat? With or without hydroxycut you can only lose an average of two pounds of body fat every week.

Its easy to lose water weight and muscle (but you dont want this to happen). So if you want to look better, i suggest your aim would be to lose body fat - not body weight.

But of course you wont lose weight by just taking hydroxycut. You need exercise as well - but even the harshest of trainers still wont go far above 2 pounds of body fat a week.

Pelvic floor toners? smartballs or tens?

Whats the best kind to get, the balls or machine, I read that you'd have to do over 350 of the excercises a day that midwifes recommend after birth to feel the benefit, and I haven't. Do these machines work?

See your doctor,physio or nurse and get advice everybody is different but if your not going to do the exercises on your own get the tens machine!

If you see your local Physio dept they will have someone specialised in pelvic floor dysfunction. This is not an easy question to answer... Physio's use the muscle stimulators, weights and exercises but you do need to be assessed to see what will suit you best.

How many miles or km can you run..?

honestly without stopping , i can do 8.10 km which is 5 miles what can you do ?x
Answers: about 10-12 K is my max limit I have done so far. It's under 8 mile.
Now I run about 5 mile 2 or 3 times a week in the evenings. Takes me an hour, as I am not a fast runner, I run for endurance.

PS- 'ykantskizzitread' you are running 70 mph on a 5% incline on the trade mill?...this is impossible, 70 mph is just about the car speed on a motorway...

look, dont obsess about weight though! muscle weighs more than fat, and different body types affect weight differently. it all depends on how YOU feel and how you view your body! if you feel good, you're fine. confidence is key!
There is a more average weight based on calculating your BMI.

For you I believe 140 is getting to the top range of the normal weight range.

Question about creatine. Serious answers only?

I am an avid lifter, and have been for over 4 years. I never got the results I wanted, due to the most part, I didn't know what I was doing. I was a steady 200 lbs for the majority of that time period, with a fairly high fat % at 6 feet even, id say around 18-20%.

I recently however am undertaking LL Cool J's platinum workout, and have seen amazing results because of it. I am down to 175 lbs but I had to sacrifice some strength because of it and replace it with more cardio.

I am wondering if it would be beneficial to start using creatine during this time period to help me gain some strength back.

But here's my concern, I am afraid that the creatine will make me look bigger instead of cut, and i don't want that at all. I just want to have the extra boost i need to get my strength back.
Answers: Creatine will result in a bigger amount of water retention, but for the most part it wont be noticeable to the extent that it will make you look "bigger".

It will help to get some strength back faster, and will help to grow your muscles. So since it grows your muscles, it will make you heavier, but provided that you keep with a good diet, it could actually help you look more cut.

I'm on creatine all the time, and it doesn't make me any fatter. When I went off it for a while, all I noticed was a drop in strength!

I'm trying to get skinny.?

well would it be ok if i didn't eat unless i was hungry, and only ate enough that would keep me happy and energized, but didnt do it at certain times of the day? [breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner] just had them whenever i was hungry?? and if i [3.5-4.0] on a treadmill a day until i reached a mile? how much weight do you think i would loose in a month?
Answers: Fat weighs as much as muscle, so you will not lose weight by building muscle, (well eventually you will, but after a while) but that is good because you will be losing inches and that is what counts. Eat lean meat, fruits and veggies. Celery is good because since it is hard to digest, it is actually negative calories because your body burns calories to digest it. Just eat healthy and workout.

Getting skinny may not always be healthy . But if you are fixed on the idea get ready to go hungry often till you acquire the desired state and instead of so much exercise which is healthy, read a lot . It's sentient and as you atrophy from lack of properly needed exercise and calories you will get skinny . then you can go to a competent physician to help you deal with the damages . Don't stop drinking water or you will die and hydration shouldn't make you gain any permanant weight.
Sorry for the bad advice but that's what you wanted and I doubt if you would see a therapists anyway.
if you substitute breakfast and lunch for a low calorie diet shake(slim fast) with a small snack before a sensible dinner (fruit) and you hit the treadmill everyday for about 30 minutes you could lose anywhere from 6 to 7 pounds in a month as long as you follow a strict diet and drink plenty of water.
thats a tough question concidering everyone s body and metabolism is diffrent but as long as you're gettin all the stuff your body needs you should be fine....it's actualy encouraged to eat more meals a day but only very small ones that way your body keeps trying to get mroe and more and the second that small meal is digested u start burning fat...also remember not to ever do it and stay healthy & that the less you eat the more you have to stick to a healthy foods so you're getting everything you need...good excercise is always good to & that as well dont ever do just as much as your body allows dont go half dead on the treadmill when your muscles are telling you that they cant any more than stop

You should think about going to a weight loss type of boot camp like the ones on http://www.fitnesscamps.net/ I went to a camp and in addition to losing more than 30 lbs in less than a month, I learned an amazing amount of nutritional information that i rely on whenever i have doubts. Is it healthier to eat fast food than to not eat at all?

No food or Grease.. They're both bad but which is actually better for your body?

...simply put any food (except chinese SARS infested food) is better than NO FOOD.
I would think skipping luch over a greasy burger is better for you. I think people eat more often then they need to anyway.
Like someone said though, if fast food is your only food source at the time, there are healthy options now, like salads.
And of course over a long period of time, (as you would die without any food) Even greasy food would be a better option, but not the best one.
Also I find that warm water supresses my midnight hunger craves, as that is the worst time to snack.

You should eat several times per day. You should drink regularly all day long. So if the alternative is to starve - to go many hours without food or drink - then fast food is better. However... Your total calorie and fat intake for the day should not exceed the amount of energy you burn. Fast food tends to contain a lot of calories, and a lot from fat. Try choosing a smaller burger, or skip the fries. Choose a salad, or buy some fruit. Have a baked potato, rather than frying everything.
Nobody has to give up fast food. You just have to make sure you eat other food too, and work or exercise enough to balance up the calories.

Muscle or fat?

So I've been going to the gym for a month and a half and have gained 7 lbs. I realize this is the muscle weight, but if so, how come my clothes don't fit any better?

In fact, the only reason for not seeing a doctor is if you do believe it is the flu--if you know what the flu feels like and this isn't it, get a doctor to figure it out.

Stress Fat?

Ok so I am 20 years old 5'6 and 145 pounds. When I met my current boyfriend I was 17 5'6 and 108 pounds. So how did I gain 40 pounds in 3 years. And how do I quit stressing out over it so I can lose the weight. Also my chest went from a nice big B to a very large C. How do I shrink them? I just started working out and eating better but can't quit stressing about the fat. I don't want to be 108 pounds again but want to look good. Any suggestions?
