Caffeine Withdrawl?
We have been out of school for the past week. In this week I have drank unimaginable ammounts of coke (awful, i know) after only having one coke a day for two months. Tomorow, I'm not going to have any cokes, probably for two or three days and drink nothing but water to help clean my system out. Last time this happened I had horiffic caffeine withdrawl. Does anyone know anyway to help lessen the symptoms? I really don't want this to effect my first day back in a week, again. Thanks!:D
Answers: well first of all good for you. You are going to feel so much better and believe it or not you will have much more energy. notice how we get tired and have a coke. than we crash so we drink more coke. Its a endless cycle. i had stopped drinking caffeine and i had major headaches for a few days. I just took a pain pill in the morning and that helped alot. You will be tired for a few days, just make sue you get some exercise and some good sleep. drink lots of water. it will not be easy the first week, but i promise you will feel better. There is a drink called diet rite. it taste like coke or Pepsi, but it does not contain caffeine. i only drink those when i crave a cola. like i said it will not be easy, but it will get better good luck
If you get a headache, try aspirin.
Try quiting slowly, like buy those half cans of coke and drink one a day for a week to come down.

Stick to the high fiber and whole grain ones without all the unwanted sugar, like Cheerios, Kashi, Fiber One, and Wheat Chex, Total, etc. Then make sure you're using 1% or skim milk...then eat away..you may actually lose weight.

You should really pay more attention to the ingredients in your cereals! They are all full of sugar...you should get the natural stuff.

Yes, breakfast cereals are very calorie dense and full of crap. Even Special K contains Sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and wheat flour (regular white flour). That is why cereal is so cheap. Because its made with crap....

Eating more healthy?
I used to eat bad snacks when i watched tv or a movie, but now i want to eat more healthy snacks. anybody know of some good low carb snacks that do not taste bland? thanksAnswers: Light microwave popcorn is actually very good for you. It is low in fat, and offers your body fiber. It also takes your body awhile to digest it, so it doesn't raise your bloodsugar levels.

-turkey slices wrapped around celery - celery filled with mustard
-kale chips (bake Kale in the oven with salt on it & olive oil spray until crispy) : tastes like popcorn!
-you can do the same as above with eggplant, zuchinni or summer squash (but they will turn out more like french fries)

Since you like sugary things and dont like fruits itself, why dont you make yourself a delicious smoothie with natural fruits in it. Also put some honey in it if you want it sweeter. Another way of eating healthy is always avoiding those sugary things. Its hard but it will benifit you in the future. If you don't like the smoothie idea then just eat chips or fruit bars that taste sugary but has natural fruit nutritions same as a real fruit. Also if you want to cut portions of meals, then just eat fruit bars or something like that instead of big portions of meal.For your exercise, it all depends on how hard you exercise that day. If you exercise for about 40-60 minutes then 3 days is good. Hope all this helps. Eat right and stay healthy!
try to eat more whole wheat foods and stuff w/ a lot of fiber which will make you fuller so you wont eat as much

So, pretty good for you. You wouldnt lose much weight off of it though, unless you follow with diet and exercise regimen.
Add more fruit, veggies, and whole fibers to your diet.
Oatmeal, preferably organic can be used alternately with fruits and whole wheat bagel for breakfast. Salad,with light dressing, and maybe a bowl of soup, for lunch. Top off dinner with some nice protein, lean, like chicken or fish. If you are veggie, then tofu is a good source of protein. (Just an example of some of the things you can eat.)
Cut out soda, drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Skim milk has been proven good for weight loss, or if you don't like plain milk, yogurt. If you like to drink juice, its better to juice your own, because most juice has entirely too much sugar in it. Leafy greens, legumes, etc. Oh, and a little tip, stay away from the Gatorade and powerade, they say it may actually cause you to gain weight if you are not sweating much. Also, if you can, its always good to either have someone do it with you, or join some sort of weight loss support, your chances increase significantly higher than when you go it alone.

personal experience - i was 46 kilos (l'm 5"1) and i know it's not overweight by any means lol, but then i started drinking 5+ cups a day of a variety of oolong, black, green tea etc and after about 4 months, l now only weigh 40 kilos! it's really amazing the effect it has on you, but of course, it is a long term effect and is combined with how it acts as an appetite supressant. i find drinking black tea in the morning is especially good because it increases your metabolic rate which is ideal in the morning times.
don't think about the weight loss too much, its important to enjoy the taste of the tea!!

I cannot stop eating and its driving me nuts!?
over the summer that just passed i ate like crazy. i gained so much weight but i didnt pay attention to it that much because i figured every1 gains some sort of weight during the summer time. but it seems like my eating habits havent changed at all and its drivin me bananas! i went into 9th grade 124 lbs, and now in the begining of 10th im 138! it cannot be normal to gain all that between a year! i was 5'3 in 9th grade nd ive only grown an inch nd a quarter since then so now im 5'4 1/4. its terrible the things i eat, i'll eat anything unhealthy chips, fruit snacks...my doctor says im fine just as long as i dont pass 140, but ive never ever been this big in my life! i try to eat healthy and have 2 snacks a day between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. but if the snack is a fruit roll up or something..i just cant eat one! im concerned about this behavior b/c ive never seen myself like this before..any help? im hoping this is just a stage ryte now..i dnt wanna get any bigger.Answers: i know how you feel. i used to eat alot. and i always thought, ''i can just burn the fat off later''. but i was wrong. eating junk food sometimes is ok, just remember to get healthy food in your meals as well. also remember to exersice. when you burn the fat off, make sure you limit your eating and keep it off! good luck!

here are some tips that heped me : when you eat dinner or lunch make it a warm one. A warm lunch satisfies you more. Also you know thoughs breath strips? well if you take one your taste buds dull up. So food doesnt taste so good. That can stop you from eating a while.

Can you identify why you are overeating? Are there emotional reasons such as anxiety? By the way, no one can eat just one fruit roll up because they are not filling. Eat a real apple or some other fruit.
Don't let your weight problem make you neurotic. Decide what is a reasonable goal for yourself. Should you try to lose weight, or are things so difficult now that maintaining your weight would be a better goal? Have an official goal. After breakfast, decide EXACTLY what foods you are going to have the rest of the day and stick to it. Officially allow yourself some treats or you will have a neurotic reaction when you see, think about or smell tempting food. If you can afford a treadmill (and you don't have neighbors who live downstairs who may be bothered by treadmill activity), then get a motorized treadmill. Schedule walking on the treadmill at least 3 times a week. If the treadmill can be in front of a tv, then integrate your walking schedule with tv shows you like to watch.
You need to get adequate protein. Protein and real fruit (not fruit roll ups) will keep your blood sugar high and you will be less hungry.

Is it bad to shower right after you ate a meal?

How many miles on my bike would I have to ride for significant weight loss? And how many times per week?
Answers: First would have to develop muscle before lose of weight, I ride about 2 miles a day for last year only lost about 10 pounds but my lower legs got real strong in process.. which helped my Diabetic concerns..
Chicken, fish, beef which has highest fat content?
Answers: Beef....then chicken, and finally fish. It obviously all depends on the cut but that order usually holds true especially fish being the leanest.
Generally, beef has the highest and fish has the lowest. However some beef has low fat content, which depends on the cow and the cut. Some fish has high such as tuna (especially the belly)
