What is a good excercise schedule and techniques for a 16 year old?
Ok so im 16 years old, tall skinny. Lately iv been extremely tired and i think it is due to the fact i eat junkfood and dont excercise enough. i ant to start because my muscles are weak, what is a good schedule i could put together. like what excerices to do everyday to build stronger muscles? looking for best answer :]Answers: That would depend on whether you are male or female, since you don't have a pic on your avatar, it's difficult to tell. I think you're probably male because of the name Donovan...so, what you should do is a little bit of weight lifting, if you have the facility to do so. What exactly do we have to work with here?
You should probably get more protein in your body. Most junk food is nothing but bad carbs. Can you get some protein shakes or anything like that?
Lose weight in less than two weeks?
My goal is to lose at 10 pounds or at least 5 pounds.Well I am going to India in 2 weeks and I want lose weight
Any suggestions ?
Answers: The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did....lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won't help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don't eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i'm going pretty well if i don't say myself. 90 LBS isn't anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. If you want anymore details, feel free to email me. Just please be patient for ppl seem to email me for advice on this, I will reply, don't worry! ~Adia

How do I loose fat on my sides and back (lovehandles)?
I'm really trying to loose at least 30 pounds by Christmas and I think I'm doing pretty well but I'm still having a few problems. No matter how hard I work out, I can't get rid of my lovehandles and that fat on my back that shows when I wear tighter shirts. How do I fix this!?Answers: When we want to get rid of body fat, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve. The way to burn fat is through a calorie restricted diet in conjunction with an exercise routine that will burn calories. Activities that burn calories include running, biking, swimming and other high intensity activities.

12 Tips for Atkins Diet
1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.
2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.
3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.
4. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week
5. Take starting measurements as well as weight - sometimes you'll lose inches before pounds
6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks
7. Don't compare your loss to someone else's - this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary)
8. Stalls are common around the third week so don't panic
9. If you follow your plan to the T and don't lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food
10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison
11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts - make sure your doctor knows that you're doing low carb and when you started
12. Don't blame the diet if you don't read your plan book -- blame the diet if you don't read the labels -- Don't blame the diet if you don't follow the diet

I need to lose some weight and want to dye my hair blonde with black highlights, would it look good on me?
Answers: dye the top blonde and the bottom 1/2 black
What does one thing have to do with the other?
I can't imagine that hair combination will look anything but freakish, but it's a free country.
blonde hair with black highlights...I don't think so unless you want to look like a zebra...or a crosswalk...don't do it!
As to losing some weight...don't we all need to?
What can i do to stick with a diet? it is just hard to do it...can someone help me?
Answers: Diets almost always backfire. You have to figure out what permanent changes you can make, start or continue exercising, and allow yourself to eat things that you want. With diets, I always ended up eventually gaining back all my weight, plus some. Weight loss didn't last until I gave up my one biggest addiction, sugar, which I lost the taste for after a couple weeks (and now sugary things taste gross to me), and began walking. I also eat smaller portions of all other foods, but don't make any restrictions. I lost 44 pounds, and it didn't feel like a diet at all.
Good luck!
Don't go on "a diet." Diets are often counterproductive because most people make themselves miserable to lose weight then when they give in, put it all back on again and then some. Changing a few things in what you eat can both help you lose a little weight and stay within a healthy range. It can also help your overall health.
For longterm weight loss, weight maintenance and healthy living, there really is no substitute for changing your eating habits. Briefly:
- replace full fat dairy (butter, cream, milk) with non-fat or low fat alternatives. Avoid saturated fats as much as possible. Not only are they bad for weight but also increase cholesterol and heart disease
- replace soda with water. The sugar in soda is a killer and water not only keeps you hydrated but helps you feel full
- eat lots of lean protein (white meat, fish, beans). Protein helps build muscles and it helps curb carb cravings
- eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables - at *least* 5 servings a day, preferably more.
- replace "white" carbs with wholewheat alternatives (bread, rice, pasta).
- Eat everything in moderation. Better to have 4-5 small meals a day than 2-3 big gut-busters.
- Read the labels. Know what they mean. Be aware of what you're eating.
- Don't deny yourself every pleasure or you'll go nuts. Try some of the lower fat/lower calorie alternatives (some of them are rather good nowadays) or just have limited portions of your favorite foods
- Avoid all junk food. It's crammed with fat to make it taste good.
- Replace snack foods like chips or cookies with fruit or nuts.
- Don't give in. Weight loss is a long term, lifestyle change; a marathon, not a sprint. There will be setbacks but don't be discouraged. Everyone goes through the same thing.
Good luck
be a vegan
you will feel better - have more energy and make the world a better place
don't diet! change your lifestyle. a diet is something you go on and eventually come off. you then gain the weight back again. if you gradually change the way you are eating to a healthier, easier to maintain diet, you are more likely to stick with it. once you have incorporated healthier eating, then you can cut calories to aid in weight loss. an exercise program of cardio and strength training can help with weight loss and confidence. once you get into the habit of exercising and reach your weight loss goals, you can gradually start adding more calories to maintain your results without losing more weight. remember that muscle weighs more than fat and it also burns a lot more calories too. good luck.
Make goals for yourself reward yourself daily by doing something you like ( except eating) riding a bike, swimming, dancing.
Best scale for true weight?
Which scale is better for your accurate weight,a digital scale or a manual scale? I tried weighing myself of both and there's a big difference. Wondering which one is better.Answers: A manual scale is definitely more accurate. Digital scales lose calibration easily.
manual.definatley.
What should i do to get stronger?
im 5'6 125 pounds. i lift like 4 times a week. my max bench is about 155 but im stuck right therefor a while. i play football and i lift pretty good for weight to muscle ratio but i cant compete with bigger guys who can bench 250. they toss me. my goal is to hit around 200 this year. how can i improve aand should i take any protein drinks or creatine?what about NO Xplode?Answers: you should gain weight. get to about 140 and keep lifting
creatine will help i remember i was stuck at 155 and i jumped to 175 in like 2 weeks on it
Eating is the most important part of gaining muscle mass, lifting weights is a minor part of it. Its what you do outside the gym that really matters.
I would suggest getting on a high protein diet with good carbs and whole grains. Eating around 6 times a day is the best way to keep a good supply of protein in your body. I drink a protein shake after my workouts and at night, they can be rather expensive though. I do take NO Xplode or NO shotgun on my lifting days to help push myself but this will not add muscle for you but rather help you lift a slight more amount of weight if used correctly. NO Xplode suggests that you be over 18 years old to use the product so not sure how old you are but sounds like you are in Highschool so I would suggest not using it or any other Nitric Oxide product till you get older.
You've reached a point where you need to gain muscle mass (hypertrophy) before you can increase in strength. I'd prefer to avoid creatine unless it's gameday because creatine only works for the first 10 seconds of anaerobic exercise and if it's used everyday, it'll lose it's effectiveness. Instead, increase your protein intake.
Before you weight lift, you need to find out your 1RM (1 repetition maximum; 100%RM), which is the most weight you can lift with once, using perfect technique.
Hypertrophy
load: 67%-85%RM
repetitions: 6-12
sets: 3-6
resting period between sets: 2-5 min
After you've notice a growth in muscle mass you can work on strength training again.
Strength
load: 85% or greater
repetitions: 6 or less
sets 2-6
resting period between sets: 2-5 min
What's the best way to kick bad coffee habits?
I am so used to being asleep for 3AM and waking up at 7:30AM. Thanks to coffee, I can function, but my body hates me. I am used to this routine however. I want to be able to be a "normal" coffee drinker, but I don't know how to cut back and still be awake. Being awake is very important!Answers: Instead of brewing buy coffee singles. Start with twice as many regular than decaff. For every 2 reg have 1 decaff for the first week.
2nd week half and half of reg and decaff
3rd week 3 decaff for 2 reg.
4the 4 for 1.
By now your body should be used to not having so much caffeine
Well it sounds like you've created a viscious cycle...not enough sleep...coffee to keep you awake,
You have to ween yourself off coffee, stopping that much caffeine all of a sudden will give you some bad side effects, headache, jitters.
Try to substitute some tea or water instead of coffee after say 5 or 6 o'clock in the evening...then you need to let your body get more rest...my dr told me about melatonin, it's a naturally occurring chemical in your brain that tells you when it's time to go to sleep...you will probably need some of this to get your body back on a schedule and then you can stop taking it. It has no side effects.
I can't have caffeine after 5 or I won't sleep either.
But just slowly cut back and you will make it...you will feel so much better in the long run.
How long will it take?
For someone consuming 1600 calories and burning about 400 to loose ten pounds?Answers: At that rate it would take you around 7-8 days to lose a pound.(3200 Calories = 1LB) So I am guessing around 3 months.
Please disregard the 3200 calories from the other posts. It's 3500 calories = 1 lb.
Plus you need to factor in age, weight, basic metabolica rate and caloric defict.
Is there a possibility for a girl to get taller when she reaches the age of 19? She just turned 19.?
I know this girl may have been a little obsessed about her height, but can stretching or is there a possibility to make her grow even 2 cm taller?Answers: Yes it is possible but only if it happens naturally. Why so worried about it? Taller is not always better.
I was 5'2 when I was 13, 5'4" at 17, 5'5" at 19..i didnt see any more grow after that...After that bones get thinner and thinner...best thing is to drink milk to prevent getting shorter in the future.
And 2 cm is not alot..better to wear shoes that will increase the height.
I need help with a diet plan?
I'm 5'9" and weigh 130 pounds. I'm very skinny but I want to lose a few pounds. I eat alot and i don't gain much weight because I excersice alot. I want to eat more healthy but I need a plan to stick to.Answers: "I'm very skinny but I want to lose a few pounds"
Wait What!?!?!
I am confused by your question especially when you says that you eat a lot and don't gain much weight because you exercise a lot. I am guessing/hoping your are asking how to gain a few more pounds because otherwise your question has me totally stumped. If you know your very skinny why would you want to lose weight?
In any event I am going to answer the question I want to, so if it is wrong, well sorry. Like most people you probably don't get enough of the nutrients or balanced calories that you need everyday. My personal opinion is that you look toward some sort of liquid supplement to add into your diet. Something like Ensure (http://Ensure.com) is actually really good. It contains a good balance on calories, taste is good, and it is really convenient.
Good Luck
uh why do you want to lose more weight? ur already tall and thin you dont sound like you need to
