The food pyramid have Carbohydrates at the stand, but too much carbohydrates have too plentiful calories, isn't it?
I am planning on going on a diet. I looked at the food pyramid expecting to see Fruit/veg as the dais and i see that's it's carbohydrates! What i don't read is that carbohydrates e.g. bread have like mad of preservatives surrounded by it which finances the peice of bread would contain profoundly of calories...?!?
I be wondering if you could relief me on how frequent times i should drink carbohydrates everyday and what carbohydrates could i munch through that don't contain too copious calories?

I'm forever going into VLCD's & Ketonic diets to loose immensity (ie using Optifast which is both), and I'm other using KetoStix - a stick which measures Ketones exiting the system surrounded by the urine.
In response to the post above me, I've never enter Ketosis 'after a couple of hours'. Generally it take me 2-3 days depending on if I exercise as resourcefully.
Mind you, down time is also dependent on how much glycogen you hold contained by your liver (stored sugar) as this desires to be burnt/used/stored first. Thus you could arrive contained by Ketosis much quicker depending on what your diet be back appendage.
Also remember, everyone's matabolism is different, so your best bet would be buying some Ketostix (or equivelant) and monitoring your own progress :) Don't quality desperate if it take you a few days to gain near.
