every morning i eat a bowl of cheerios with a banana, some grapes, and some strawberry's can i eat too much of this stuff for breakfast? will it get fatteningAnswers: not sure if it'll get fattening, but you could be getting too much sugar. from what I know, grapes have a high level of sugar. a few pieces are enough to satisfy your daily nutritional needs (for sugar). cheerios also have sugar, if I remember correctly. they're coated with powdered sugar, right?

How can i get a body like evander holyfield?
Hey i'm 17 and currently 85 kgs and 180 cm. I have approx 12% body fat. I currently do weights 3 times a week with boxing/cardio four times a week. I have a good diet eating only healthy food, drinking lots of water and having good sleep. I have seen numerous pictures of Holyfield and aspire to look like him. I am willing to do wateva it takes. Any advice would be great.cheers.
Answers: If you are indeed doing all that, then you are doing great. Keep in mind that you are 17 and he is much older, has his own genetics and was recently mentioned in a steroid scandal too. Your last statement bothered me when you said you will do whatever it takes. Keep working out and eating well and you will see the results you want..
I thought Holyfield published a book on workout tips. Seems like he does a lot of running and crunches, as well as speed bag/heavy bag work. It's brutal, no doubt.

Answers: Control your appetite by eating fiber, and eat slowly.
Your brain does not know your stomach is full until it is too late.
It is okay to eat ice cream an a dough nut sometimes, but you can not binge.
You must limit yourself but you do not have to completely stop eating the foods you love.
Your feelings are normal and when you allow yourself to eat like this it only causes more guilt, which in turn causes more binging.

When you eat more than you should, write down how you feel during and after the episode of overeating to figure out what triggers the problem, and once you remember how horriblr you feel afterwards, maybe you wont do it next time.
How much weight can I lose in 3 weeks?

Answers: It depends how much body fat you have.
a) You might be able to lose a pound a day, if you ate very healthily for 3 weeks and are at least 30 pounds overweight. Your diet would have to be something like the following: nothing but fresh fruits and vegetables, baked or broiled fish every other day, water, and fruit juices with no sugar added.
b) You could lose a few more pounds, up to 50% more than eating healthily, but you might cause gastric problems and be forcing your body to lower its metabolism which will make weight management a little more difficult after the 3 weeks are up.
If you walked more than what you are doing now, you would be able to lose a few more pounds. If you drastically increased your exercise routine, you could lose more, even though your body will be hungrier for more fuel. Satisfy it with water and fruits like apples, oranges, and bananas. Also, if you drastically increase your exercise routine, do so with walking and swimming so your body can better handle the adjustments.

Is it possible to gain 1kg in one week, a healthy gain?

Eat healthy, exercise, lift weights, and you will gain mass.
You want to be sure you are not just gaining fat.
If you control your intake and exercise you can gain 10kgs, but you should not put a time limit on it.
Unless you have a very low percentage of body fat, healthy weight gain means adding lean muscle, not fat. So just eating more and doing less is not the way to go.
How fast you can gain muscle depends on many things, your bodytype, ie meromorphs gain muscle faster than ectomorphs, your diet (enough of the right nutrients) where you are now in terms of strength and fitness and how hard you work at improving. However, most I have heard of is around 1/2 kg per week.
A weight loss question?
At the start of my diet I lost about 5kg which is 11pounds I think within 6-8 weeks but now it has fully stopped and I have stayed at the same weight for a couple of months now. Is it possible i'm not eating enough?Today I had pasta at lunch and subway for dinner.
I want to lose about 5kg more.
Answers: I wouldn't freak out about the pasta or the subway. You do need a balanced diet to drop the pounds... which includes carbs... along with protein and so on. This is the diet that my Dr. put me on... and no I was not a huge person, but I did need to drop my weight. She also told me to stay away from fast food including subway. I had tried for 2 years to bring my weight down... I counted calories and worked out with a trainer almost everyday. I only saw my weight drop 10 pounds, and that would move up and down like that for the 2 years. I was so frustrated that I could not move below the 10 pounds. That is why I went to a Dr. The first few weeks I saw great weight-loss, and it was fat not muscle that I was getting rid of. Then I became very slack one week, followed the diet, but not to a "T", and that following week I had a weight-loss... but it was not a good one. I had gone down a pound, but... I had gained 2 pounds of fat and dropped 3 pounds of muscle. That was such a slap in the face for me, and brought me back on track. It has been nice ever since.

Remember, to stay focused, and if you are naughty now and then, do not let it get you down... think long term.
Now you'll have good weeks 3,4, maybe 5 lbs. of weightloss,(especially if you have a high fat %) but you will also have weeks of none, or maybe even weight gain. Gain is not bad if your gaining muscle, because in the long run it will pay off.
3500 calories= 1 lb.
Now depending on your height, weight, and level of activity an average person (female)may burn 2200 cal. a day. So to maintain you weight you would eat 2200 cal. So if you are trying to lose weight you need to drop the calories and increase exercise (fat burning exercises... ride a bike or a brisk walk) But it isn't this simple... because muscle is heavier than fat. If you drop your calorie intake too low (under 800) your body thinks it is being starved (which it is) and then your body will want to save the fat (it's layer of protection) and will sacrifice the muscle. Plus it's not like you can get on a treadmill and run a few hours till you've hit 3500 cal. burned and hop off and instantly weigh a pound less. Your body has to process it. Best bet: drop calories to around 1500 eat 3 healthy well balanced meals, don't skip breakfast it is what gets your body started, drink at least 80 oz.of water, have 1 snack... like an apple, and a fat burning exercise (keep in the fat burning zone for at least 45 min) you should see great results fast in the beginning, but then it may slow, which is fine,because you may hit a plateau. Just switch things up a bit in your exercise routine to move out of it. Also yogurt... have a fat free yogurt with breakfast and lunch if you can, studies have shown that yogurt helps get rid of fat, and that 2 yogurts a day more than tripled the fat loss of those who had none, and 1.5 times more fat loss than those who had 1. Lifting weights is great too, it builds more muscle, which in turn burns more fat. Just remember muscle is heavier than fat so as you build it your weight may not go how you thought it would, so keep measurements, because sometimes the weight doesn't change but the inches do.
Eating advice- eat! try not to skip meals, passing on a meal really is not good. Stay away from sugar substitutes, splenda and stevia are fine.
example-
BREAKFAST
1/2 cup cereal(hot or cold) with 1/3 cup skim milk OR 1/2 bagel OR 1/2 english muffin OR slice of toast OR 1 reduced fat waffle w/ 2Tbsp. sugar-free syrup
AND
Fresh fruit- 1/2 grapefruit OR 1 cup melon OR 1 small apple, orange, peach OR 1/2 cup of canned fruit in natural juices OR 1/2 cup fruit juice
AND
1 cup skim or 1%milk OR low-fat yogurt (100 cal. type... yoplait for example)
AND
1 Tsp. reduced fat margarine OR 2 Tsp. low sugar jelly OR 1 Tsp. fat-free cream cheese OR 1 Tsp nondairy creamer (if you like it in your coffee)
AND
water (always) you can have coffee or tea too
Now this may seem like alot of food but it isn't, it's choices you can combine to have something different everyday.
If you chose... lets say... Life cereal with milk, 1/2 cup of OJ (I like Topicana light and healthy), a yogurt, and coffee with creamer... you would have a pretty good breakfast that only has about 325 cal.
Stay away from bacon and sausage for now,fast food and fried foods. I really love bacon, but if you are trying to lose weight, they will not help in any possible way. Once you have it your goal... that's a different story, now and then is fine, because you are then trying to maintain, not lose.
LUNCH
2 slices of diet bread (I love Pepperidge Farm light style) OR 1/2 pita bread
AND
2oz. of skinless chicken OR turkey breast, OR 2oz. shrimp OR tuna (in water) OR 2 oz. fat free cheese OR 1 oz. lean roast beef, ham, OR low fat sandwich meat
AND
1 cup total of salad, veggies,or combo of both
AND
Fresh fruit OR canned (same as what you would have for breakfast, just not the juice option)
AND
1 Tsp. margarine or mayo OR 2 Tsp.peanut butter OR salad dressing (1 Tbs. regular or 2 Tbs. reduced-fat)
AND
1 Tsp.fat-free mayo OR salad dressing OR 1 Tbs. Ketchup OR 1 Tbs. mustard
AND
a drink... water is great, so is tea
So now a lunch might look like this...
a sandwich with, mustard, turkey, lettuce and tomato. Small salad with dressing (Kraft fat-free Caesar Italian), and a small apple. Now this meal may run you around 380-400 cal.
Now if you don't want the bread, just a salad make it a big one... say 3 cups total, but don't forget to add your meat to it.
SNACK
Usually I have my apple from lunch here with some peanut butter (1 Tbsp) or a fat-free yogurt either way 100 cal.
DINNER
1/2 baked potato OR 1/2 cup pasta, rice,corn, peas, or mashed potato OR 1/2 a hot dog or hamburger bun OR slice of bread OR small roll
AND
4 oz. of fish, chicken breast, turkey breast, shrimp, scallops, or crab OR 3 oz. lean beef, pork, veal, lamb, salmon, or leanhamburger patty OR areduced-fat hot dog
AND
pick 2 of these- 1/2 cup cooked asparagus, beans, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, spinach, summer squash, tomatoe sauce, or zucchini... a salad that totals 1 cup
AND
1 Tbs. fat-free margarine OR 1 Tbs. Salad dressing OR 2 Tbs. reduced fat salad dressing OR 1 Tbs. sour cream OR 1 Tbs. ketchup OR 1 Tbs. taco sauce OR 1/4 cup of salsa.
AND
drink... water... tea
So now this meal may look like this
1/2 cup of wild rice with grilled salmon, steamed asparagus tips, a small salad with dressing... and this would be about 370 cal.
so lets see breakfast 325, lunch 400, snack 100, dinner 370 that totals right about 1200 cal. not too bad
In almost anything you do whether it is losing weight or gaining strength in exercise we get stuck at certain levels.
You need to track everything you eat and drink and total up the amount each day.
Losing weight is when you burn more calories than you consume. It takes 3500 calories to lose 1 pound.
Eat healthy, exercise and you will get off of your plateau so you will be able to lose the rest of your weight.

Answers: Wendys has a salad just don't use the dressing.
Cravings are always a problem, but realize that there are no bad foods, you just need to control the amounts you eat.
It is the calories that you need to track, so having a burger or frosty sometimes will not ruin your diet.
You can use things like a piece of cake or ice cream as a reward. Don't eat the whole cake, have a small piece.

Being vegetarian has nothing to do with it. Consider the biggest and strongest animals on the planet, let’s take for example elephants, rhinos, bulls, cows etc... All very muscular and all vegetarians.

I know what you are going through.
I am 6'2" and was 150 Lbs. of skin and bones till working out.
Now I'm at 210 Lbs. and only have a few more Lbs. to lose to get back to workout ripped.
I originally built up by hitting the gym 5 or 6 days per week, a different muscle group each day and aerobics 3 times per week every other day too.
It can be done, you just have to turn off the computer and go do it and stick to it till you achieve your goals.

PS. Take Lacey's advice and forget the rest of the crap posted by the others about meat or milk; both of those will kill you.
maybe start having supplements... if your not allready taking them, you need to start taking them... eat lots of spinach, they are full of iron, eat tofu for protein.... try protein shakes and do weights but build up to a heavy weight. sighn up to a gym and see what they say they are professionals and will be able to give you the best advice :)

Are you vegan or vegetarian? If you are the latter, you could use whey powder supplements just as all the bodybuilders do, lot's of protein.
If you are the former, you have to analyze your diet and make sure that you are not just eating pancakes and candybars--you really have to make correct food choices--lots of nuts, whole grains, soy protein. With your compassion for animals in mind, it's a little more difficult but do-able.
If you are still 16, you are still growing. I know that you are self-conscious, but remember that you have a lot of changing left to do, so don't be too hard on yourself.
I have done a lot of bodybuilding, and on a vegan diet, too, as a few of my friends did (long-distance runners, too--although I didn't run quite as far as they did!) I don't work out too much anymore because of life circumstance now, but I did not find it the least bit difficult to become stronger and more muscular--even for a "girl." You just have to find a really good weight-lifting program--you can find a personal trainer or just ask for advice at the gym. To go into "specifics" here would take 100 pages.
And don't say you are skinny--say you are "lean, mean and sinewy." You have to think positive to change!
lucky you now a days they have whey protein ( whey protein is made of milk extracts) but all you have to do is lift weights and increase your intake of protein (like maybe using whey protein)
start lifting weights start off with light weights but do 3 sets of 15 reps,try doing bench press, shoulder press, bent over row or seated row, bicep curls and tricep extensions. workout every other day. after about the first 6 weeks increase your weights
and if you dont have acess to weights just do push ups to failure then do pull ups to failure, then repeat startin gwith push ups to failure and then pull ups to failure. . to it every other day. after the first month start doing it every day

What do you mean by bigger? Bigger as in body-builder type big or just making your arms look more tone and stronger? The simple answer would be to do strengthening excercises, which doesnt necessarily have to be weight lifting.
People eat meat because of high protein content and it just tastes good. What many of them dont know is that meat (which is anyanimal flesh or body part) also contains harmful steroids and hormones. People think that you need to eat meat to be stronger. Far form the truth. Protein is what is building your body, not the actual meat itself. If you are already trying to strengthen your body but not seeing any progress, then just keep at it. People's bodys are different. I myself have trouble gaining any definition or tone in my arms. I even did crunches almost every day for around 90 days and saw very very little in how tone my abs were. I guess you could try eating more protein and drinking protein shakes. That may help, but dont eat tons and tons of protein, because that will turn to fat and may possibly have other adverse effects. Im trying to do research on that to see if its true. The other adverse effects part.
Anyway, yes, it can be done. Many martial artists are very strong and also vegetarian. Traditional martial artists that is, not sport martial arts. If you need some help with what strengthening excersises you can do, I can help. Just ask if you are interested.
Simple answer, EAT MEAT and start feeding your muscles !

not only does it make you lazy but it is quite possibly one of the most dangerous drugs out there in the sense that it is so underestimated. I mean there are a ton of excuses used by those that smoke:
1) I work better when Im high
2) Its Natural
3) If cigarettes are legal why isnt weed
4) It makes me calm
Lets see, YOU may think you work better but I saw you almost cut your hand off with that miter saw, and you may be relaxed when you smoke but thats only because you are so addicted you cant stop spazzin if you dont have it.

I stopped eating four days ago due to breakup.?
I am going through a pretty tough breakup. We were together for over six years and still living together. I am feeling naseaus everyday and every time I try to eat anything I immediately vomit. I am able to drink fluids, but not anything thick. Mainlly water and iced tea. What is going to happen to my body if I cannot eat soon?Please don't tell me just to eat, believe me I have been trying. So far I feel fine and have all of my cognetive functions.
Answers: Try some jello and some chicken noodle soup, maybe just the broth and a saltine. Move out ASAP. Eventually your body will let you eat. Give it 2 weeks, then see a doctor
