is to okay to have a banana daily while trying to lose weight ? a banana is just 100-140 calories depending on the size but I hv this cousin who gained weight by adding a banana to her daily diet ... but I will eat about 1200-1300 cals a day and workout for at least 30 minutes on elliptical and stationary bike ...
Answers: Wow, I have 2 minutes. Count the banana in your calorie count, depending on the size, add some extra exercise and drink plenty of fluids.
Eat lots of fruits. Fruits don't make you fat. And drink lots of water.

What is the best way to tone up my tummy after having a baby?

I had a c section 6 months ago my scar is still a little sore.
Answers: Try jogging . If you can then stair stepping is a good one aswell. For 2 weeks lay off all fried foods, eat green vegetables. E.g. brocley, peas, carrots, anything. It doesn't have to be green. The best way to eat then is steamed, If you bil it then on low temperature and make sure you don't over cook it.

an easy one to do is when your laying in bed try lifting you head and shoulders off the bed do 10 a night then 15 then 20 over several weeks then hold each lift for 2 seconds worked on my flat tum

Answers: It does not even matter, I rate myself a 10!! I'm a good mother to my children, a faithful wife, and I work. I put black hair on my avatar, but my hair is blonde! Because it doesn't matter, remember it's breast cancer awareness month, a lot of beautiful women have lost their breast and their hair to a nasty disease, how would you rate their looks, I'm sure their not to be included in this question..

How many calories should i be eating? 16 year old male, 116 lbs, 5'4" and do cardio everday and lift wieghts?

I do about half hour on my eliptical. it says about 600 calories burnt and i lift weights at the gym every other day for about 1:00-1:30 hours.
Answers: 2200 to 2400 calories daily is a good average. Make sure it's low fat and a moderate amount of carbs and a good amount of protein.
Exercise a reasonable amount ever day, except take a day or two off every week for repair.
Eat healthy food three times a week. When you are no longer hungry, stop eating! Do'nt drink colas or eat chips or other crap. Forget calories!!
Probably about 2300 a day.
I eat a good amount of calories each day, (or should I say swallow) and it does me no harm!!
depends if you are on a high protien diet or not...approx 1700 to 2400 per day to stay toned out with god regular work outs...this is not perfectly calculated but worked well for me
men should eat about 2000 calories per day, where as a woman should eat 1300 to 1500 per day.

GB Surgery?

Im obese. I am 206 pounds, 5 foot 7 and have a BMI of 32.3. This is obese. I have tried dieting, that didnt work, exercising plenty, that didnt work. I eat more and more because of how big i am (sounds silly, but its true) Im still in my teens but i feel the only thing left is GB surgery. The fact is im in very bad depressed state at the moment because of my weight and i eat more when depressed. My family has a long string of diabetes, my grandad (both) and my dad have it and i feel being how big i am i am doubleling the chance of getting it along with other diseases. What will i have to do in order to be put in for GBS? or are there any other ways apart from dieting and exercising that work?

Answers: Hi, I don't know how old you are but please try different types of diets before you go to drastic measures. I was obese for years and the program I tried worked for me and it may work for you no matter your age. I lost weight and kept it off by trying http://www.theover40andfitclub.com/ . Will both methods work?

My sister and I are both on a restricted calorie diet. We both take in the same amount, but we eat completely different things...i eat..i guess you'd say healthy choices..and she eats whatever she feels like..she says as long as you count it..you'll lose weight.

We also work out everyday, rotating upper body one day and lower body the next.

Will both methods work...am i just wasting my time eating healthy foods??

Well, just always remember do not force but use her favourite foods which she likes to eat that are healthy to get her into the habitat of eating healthy. In the end when she goes for her personal health checkup will always be a good report, your sister is going to thanks you for helping her get started in eating healthy foods by the way you have encourage her.

Does a 150 pound person more fat less muscle, look bigger/nicer than a 150 pound person more muscle less fat?

I'm wondering because muscle weighs more than fat, so you need less muscle to make more weight, which might not make you look as big as you weigh. Since fat weighs less, you'll need more of it to get more weight, and so you'll look bigger. Is that true, i'm just wondering?

What is the right age to exercise with dumb bells?

Is it true that the growth of height is stunted due to the use of dumb bells?
Answers: the height thing is lies. Muscle will not restrict you from growing. You can lift however many you want. My friend has been lifting since 6th grade and we are in 9th now and hes huge. (Height and muscles) You might not want to jump to a high weight though. just lift what you can and when you can do more then 10 reps up the weight

-16 male 145 pounds around 5'7

Answers: First of all if your looking to gain weight. It's like this 60% of the gain is from Nutrition, the other 40% comes from what you do in the gym. So as per nutrion i'll try and make it as simple as possible you need to be eating more frequently and everytime you eat try and have some protein. So instead of 3 try 5 or 6 smaller meals instead.

Now as for the gym, try working a differient part of your body each day. Ex. Legs Monday. Including rests, your entire workout should only be about an hour to and hour and 15 minutes.

And last but not least the six pack, what you need for that is patience. You will start seeing that after a while, that comes from having a low body fat.

Buy some weights and a book of how to use them and do some exercises in your room every night. My cousin did that and he is now really strong.
To get a six pack see if your local gym has an ab cruncher or do 100 sit ups a day.
Not sure about this but I think meat and protien help height.

Why am I losing??

I am a 15 yr old girl who is fairly active. I eat a ton!! I can eat anywhere from 1400-2200 calories in a day. I am an unhealthy body weight (too low). Why am I losing more and more weight if Im eating this much??
Answers: You probly need more like 2500 being so active and younge. =]

depends on your activity level, if high you don't gain weight.

you might have high metabolism. but its nothing to worry about

but since you are losing , you might be having some problems. see a doctor for real, not gaining weight is fine, but losing weight despite eating regularly is.
