A question plz..... :) ?

i'm 158 centimeters, and i need to lose eight kilograms to be in the category "Normal" and not "overweight".........so, am i considered "short" ??!

also i'm 21 years old, so can i still can gain some more centimeters to be a bit taller ?!

btw, i go to "gym" during summer, but in winter, i prefer walking !!

i'll be thankful for any helping tips :-)

look, dear short lady....
I can't help in such a question, but whatever advices you recieve from dear brothers and sisters here or anywhere else, the most important one, I think, is "have enough self confidence" while applying any diet system or something like that, I know you are self-confident, and you'll do it right.

Last thing, the look is not the only or most important thing in life or in any relation, there is for example the spirit, which is actually the most important, I believe, and you have a marvelous spirit, dear.

You are not overweight - just short for your weight. Your body mass index should be around 25 for normal ( weight/height). Most people have stopped growing by age 21 - girls tend to stop by the time they are 18.
Most people are heavier in winter than in summer - just keep exercising by walking every day ( a couple of miles) fast enough to be slightly out of breath if you want it to do your cardio vascular system some good. Oh - and keep off the chocolate biscuits.

1. Take lots of food with high "Fibre" - Oat, wheat, pear & etc
2. Eat lots of vegetable.
3. Drink Lime, Tarmarind and fruitjuice.
4. Exercise.
Avoid.
1.Eating spicy and Oily food.
2.Do not eat before Bed time.
3. Chocolate and Ice Cream.
4. Sugar / Milk

I have heard of a neighbour which grewtaller (girl) during 23-24 years of age! keep prayin and keeping posture straight also helps! And heels help the most lol ;)

honey, I am 26 and you are taller than me lol, you will be considered tall if you lived in Indonesia, but in Egypt... hmm not sure.
I guess you still can gain a bit more centimeters.
The most important is not how to be slim, but overweight can take many health problem. so I suggest you to have exercise REGULARY, not only when you are in mood
much water and fruits may help.

How long should i be on phentramin if i want to lose 20 pounds?

alright well what are some good suplies and foods that i can buy at like safeway or simular stores?
im planing on starting a diet bcuz im starting to work out.

Answers: unsweetened Prune Juice not from concentrate...loads of leafy salad, tomatoes, all fruits and veggies, water or flavored water. Special k or some low sugar cereal with fat free skim milk, lowfat yogurt. Sugar free hard candies..
Chicken and fish to grill..try the Foreman Grill...it's a mess to clean later though. All the fat falls to the bottom. Multi Vitamins and a good product like Alli helps you journal and shows portion sizes and seperates the fat in your stomach..you see it in your stool.Gross. Diet energy drink like Diet Red Bull. It won't work unless you work out carrdio 45 minutes a day and get your heart at 100 beats per minute...don't eat dinner have your big meal during the day.
Don't consume more than 1800 calories either.
more vegetables, and meat, less rice, pasta and bread. read the nutritional information on the packaging, get things that are low in calories. try to grill your food rather than fry. don't deep fry.

Weight loss help,more like emergency!?

My friend is 5'3 and about 230-250 im not sure exactly. Im convincing her to workout with me after school. How long could it take for her to drop like 30-40 lbs? I know the heavier you are the more calories you will lose. If she stops with the pop and other bad habits how much can she loose by like the end of dec early jan!? shes depressed about her weight and i feel like i can help her... suggestions?

Answers: Well, because they come in cans, their not "fresh" and have chemical preservative that is generally not good for you(assuming your eating them everyday).

Answers: It's not obese at all!
It's just overweight.
If you want to change that you can talk to your parents or your doctor about healthy eating plans so you don't have weight issues in the future(such as obesity)
Or you might even grow out of it. That just happens to some people when they get older, they somehow loose weight and look great. But eating healthier couldn't hurt
20 lbs. is not something to stress over. However, the fact that u are concerned proves that u are on the right track as in fixing problems b4 they become a "hot mess". Watch what u eat...trick yourself into healthy snacks. Make a fruit & nut snack mix and bag it in lil sandwhich bags 4 quick after school snacks or "on the phone" snack. Grapes, strawberries, and pineapple chunks frozen in a lil ziploc bag is a cool treat to nibble on while "dad" LOL prepares dinner or after yard work in the summer verses chips or ice cream. U just have to be determined 2 take care of u...u only get one of u remember? Luv yourself healthy!

How many reps and sets for barbell squats?

I've been doing squats for the past year, but the problem is .. that all year i was doing squats with only 2 10 lbs weights (i was doing a large ammount of reps , 75-100)

Now i have a bar and two 35 lbs plates. I am looking to tone up my legs and make them bigger, how many reps and sets should I do?
Answers: it seems u want stronger, bigger legs...
first of all, u are going to have to increase the amount of weight substantially..
if u continue to do sqauts without increasing your weight, u will TONE your legs, but not do much for increasing size and power..

follow these steps:

increase your weights gradually, but at a comfortable pace..

use different stances.. use a narrow leg stance to work your inner thighs, use a wide stance to increase the outer thigh muscles...
the farther u squat down, the more u are using your upper thighs and butt..

do your squats slow and concise..

vary your work out.. squats are considered a major work out!!
so u dont want to do a bunch of squats, and then expect to do a full workout after that.. a good squat session will take A LOT out of u!!

take a good rest between sets.. even 5 minutes if u want..

vary your workout, warm up with 20 light squats, then do 2---6 sets of heavier squats, if u have enough energy do a lot.. some days, do less..
vary your reps, vary your sets!!
listen to your body and do what u feel.. u dont need to stick to exactly the same reps and sets for every workout..

vary your reps over a WIDE range..
5 very heavy squats, 30 lighter squats... 10 heavy, 30 light.. etc...

IMMEDIATLY after u lift, u need to eat!! i would suggest getting a big jug of protein powder and mix it with milk, juice, fruit.. etc...

u can divide weight lifting into 3 different parts: lifting, eating, and sleeping.. if u read about body builders, they will talk about their diet just as much as the lifting part...
3 sets of 10
if you can do sets of 12, you need to increase the weight. you need to build a foundation before you can tone the rest.

Should i take my protien shake everyday even if im not going to the gym?

I go to the gym on Mon, Wed, Fri, should i take it on Tue, Thursday as well?
Answers: Yes you should because it helps your muscles heal better, but don't take more protein than that because your body cannot store extra protein and it is turned into fat.
Absolutely, I drink it every morning. You should eat or have some protein within 1 hour of waking so that your blood sugar doesn't crash, so I drink it every morning and then eat a small breakfast later. It won't hurt you, it will definitely help you.

How long does it take for an average man to walk/run one mile?


Answers: Probably a little less than the average woman. I walk a 15 minute mile and run a 10-12 minute mile--and only one! I'm an average, lazy 53 year old woman.
i think it takes me 15 mins to walk a mile...not sure though.
And i dont know about running ,8mins perhaps

Too much to eat?

Im 14 and 133lbs. and 5'4, I kinda watch what I eat so tell me if this was too much.

breakfast: 1 pancake (little bit of lite syrup)
lunch: mcd's southwest salad(grilled chicken, no dressing)
snack: like 8 doritos, 1 apple

Answers: well just eat healthier! no diets. trust me, im 14 and have been there. ever since living healthier, ive dropped about 20lbs. and 4 pant sizes and 3 dress sizes:)

whats fun is jumping on a trampoline. if u dont have one, go on one at a friends house. go for walks with friends, take a dance class or join a team with friends, theres a ton!

Well, first of all...you don't have to be skinny to wear skinny jeans. "Skinny" refers to the cut of the jean, meaning that they have a tapered leg....and they come in all sizes. You just have to have the right body shape to wear them.

You must eat a breakfast with a source of protein.(biggest meal of the day)
Lunch with a smaller source of protein.
Dinner must be the lighest meal.
All this without any soda, chips, or any other fast food. Drink lots of water and excirsice atleast 3 times a week no more than 5 times a week. Don't stop eating and don't get anxious TIME give it TIME!! Do not fall into the games of eating disorders.
Run with a friend. Sit-ups also help.
