Answers: Its called getting off your fat a** and not shoveling food down your throat. I know its a hard concept to understand.

#1 thing you can do is to drink PLENTY of water. You'll be surprised how much weight you can lose if you cut out all sodas and sugared beverages and just drink water.

How many times should you eat a day to gain weight to build muscle?

How many meals? I am trying to gain some mass to be more powerful in martial arts. I don't know what to do, I have a fast metabolism.
Answers: To gain muscle mass, your body needs to be in a calorie surplus.

Calculate how many calories you normally eat a day and raise that number by 300, if you aren't gaining in 2-3 weeks raise it to 500.

I just ate a whole special k with non fat milk!!?

Answers: basically you just ate a big bowl of sugar. processed cereals are not healthy despite what the manufacture may claim. the longer the list of ingredients in a food item the more processed it is and the less nutritious it is. just because a food item is low calories doesn't make it "good" for you. whole oatmeal is good for you, Special K is not...
Don't eat dairy any more. It's gross and unhealthy.

Woman vs. men weightloss?

ok so my brother lost alot of weight. 80 pounds in 5 months or so. he constantly is yelling at my mom and i. telling us that we don't do this right and that right because were not losing weight very fast. he thinks woman can lose weight just as fast as men and that we should be losing alot more then we are. he also told my mom that she could lose the excess skin from having 2 9 pound babies. she's really not fat, overweight yes but she looks small even at the weight she is. but could he be right? i lost anywhere form 1 -2 pounds a week. i watch what i eat and workout every other day for 20 minutes. i am taking it slow as i am just starting this workout regimine today. i don't feel frumpy. i'm not out of breath and i don't get tired alot. i have energy all day long. i work 8-9 hours a day, on my feet and running back in forth all day. but should i be doing more? i once heard a doctor say it's not all about your bmi, it's about your energy and how you feel on a daily basis. i feel great!

Was your brother over weight ? If he was, the fatter you are the more weight you lose in the beginning.

When I first started loosing weight, i'd lose 5-6lbs for the first 2 weeks then it slowed down to 1-2.

Men lose weight faster because their body composition, enables them to burn calories at a faster rate than women.

Is this a good size for my age?

I am 13 and I am 5'2 I weigh 1251bs. My chest size is a 36 b. But after my chest it just goes straight down. I am also curvy and not fat. I got a hour glass shape going on is this a good size? please don't say just because I am 13 I am going through puberty please.

FlSH ON A DIET?

Okay i eat 4 fat free meals a day, if i have one of those four meals being a skilet fish with fat free tarter sauce (that meal is 100 calories, Fat calories 15), will that effect me, becuase i have gotten tired of one of the meals on my diet and want to replace it. Thanx.
Answers: First off, you should be eating at least 1200 calories a day minimum on any diet. Fat free doesn't always equal better. Omega-3 fatty acids (monounsaturated fat) are good for your heart and you really need them to function properly. Fish is the perfect food for those, so eat your fish. Just make sure you're getting all the other nutrients you need as well.

Answers: you don't lose weight fast, sorry, but here's the reality to follow, from me&my experience.
The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did....lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won't help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don't eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i'm going pretty well if i don't say myself. 90 LBS isn't anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. Why is soy milk better than skim milk? does it have less fat? less calories?

Answers: Some say skim milk is better than soy milk, and others say soy milk is better than skim milk.

I'd say it's a tie.

Skim milk has less calories and tons of nutrients naturally in the liquid, while soy milk has to be supplemented with it. Skim milk doesn't have a strange taste like soy milk, so you're more likely to drink it and get your daily dosage of calcium.

Also, studies suggest that skim milk (or 1%) can help prevent strokes and calcium taken in natural form is said to inhibit your body's production of fat cells. When you're ragged from the runs, the calcium in milk can help slow the contractions in your intestines.

It's a myth that milk causes congestion. Some people do experience congestive from dairy at the ONSET of symptoms, but not before or after. Sometimes not even during. It's a shame that people reject a perfectly healthy drink because they're afraid of "congestion". If that were true, then my asthma would be plaguing me constantly because I drink a lot of milk. Plus, milk is a lot cheaper.

But, soy milk has its own benefits, too.

Studies suggest that having 25g. of soy products a day can reduce the risk of breast cancer in both males and females. However, too much soy has been linked to increased risk of cancer in females.

Soy is great for people who are lactose intolerant, or who like a strong, thick liquid. Some soymilks have up to five grams of fiber in them, but the fiber has been known to cause stomach upset in some. Soy is fortified with everything you find in skim milk, but shake the carton because the stuff tends to settle to the bottom.

Soy has more calories and has at least five grams of fat. Most of the fat is unsaturated, but that's no boon to someone trying to lose weight!

I personally prefer skim milk. It has less than one gram of fat, sometimes none, and doesn't interfere with the taste of my food. If you're trying to lose weight, however, you might want to stick with the skim. The protein in it will help you build muscle and there are fewer calories and fat.

I'm going to vote for soy. Cow's milk is a known congestant, while soy milk offers us a number of heart-healthy proteins.

It probably actually has a few more calories -- but, overall, I'd say -- it's better for ya.

60 pounds in 2 months?

ok im 15 and i want to lose 60 pounds by jan 1st thats 2 months its about a pound a day but i know i can do it becasue i have will power and can exercise for a long time...but if i lose all that in a short amount of time will my skin sag or am i to young for that. I dont wanna hear that this is unheathly i know it is. i dont really care.

It will sag for sure i suggest not doing it and taking it easier maybe make it 60 pounds in 4 months even then it's too quick. Look at 9-12 months to lose all that.
