I want to get skinnier, what are some good work outs?
I want to make my legs skinnier but with a little muscle and by butt to get smaller. I got a black girls butt. no offence to anyone. : (I like to run and play sports but i dont think thats working.. maybe it is but idk.
and i like to eat. even when im bored.. help me what do i do?
Answers: simply eat less (and when you do, eat fruits, veggies, and protien. things like frozen yogurt are a good alternative to ice cream, whole wheat bread & pasta instead of regular, and reach for a fruit or veggie next time you want a snack. strawberry banana smoothies are the best!)
and excercise more. at least 20 minutes of cardio a day
a good goal is to try to break a sweat every workout. thats how you know your working hard enough

i'd say get a pedometer (seriously it worked for me)..
set a goal to walk more steps every day and before you know it, you'll be walking so many miles everyday (i think i'm up to 2 miles).
Also, since i am like you and i love food!! I started buying slim fast meal and snack bars and milk shake powder, and i substitute them with any junk food. they taste really good and they'll help you lose weight...
Also, if u like making your own food, use the slimfast website for really good tasting meals (and they're healthy of course)

If you just run a little and watch your diet you should be fine. Remember to cut calories to 2000 a day during the diet (no less though or you could cause more harm than good).
Cut the empty calories from your diet, no sodas or juices, just tons of water.

Speed walking outside or use Treadmill at the gym. You don't have to run. If you go to the gym just do a lot of cardio. I lost a lot of pounds. I can finally fit in all my dresses and all my clothes are all too big for me. Also make sure you eat you eat healthy and no fast food. Drink lots of water. If you keep this up you will see results soon. Don't skip any meals either this will help keep your metablism going. Try to eat at least 5 times a day. Stay off the sodas too. Good luck!.

Answers: Wouldn't it depend on how much your exercising? It would make a difference if you walked 10 minutes a day in your daily schedule vs. 60 minutes a day.
Is it gerd? gallbladder? acid reflux?
I cannot consume foods high in starch! Something about pasta, rice, bread, etc. make me feel so full so fast. I can't consume a regular-sized meal without feeling full and sometimes nauseated. I do get the shooting chest pains, similar to acid reflux. I'm on the waiting list to see a gastrointenologist but that could take forever. Any suggestions on what I should be eating that would make me feel less full?Answers: It could be Gerd because one common symptom is that it feels as if the food gets stuck in your esophagus and can make you feel full very quickly. This is much more evident with starches because they are harder to break down and most people do not chew them enough. Here is some informatino that may help you.
I am not a doctor, so either way you will want to talk to them, but this is what I have to say as a long time sufferer of Acid Reflux (G.E.R.D.)!
Three part answer information, what not to do, and what to do!
INFORMATION!!
I have a very severe case of Acid Reflux (G.E.R.D.). I have had to go to the hospital for some of the heartburn that I have had because the pain can become overwhelming or your breathing can be effected. It can be caused by Smoking, Drinking Beverages with caffeine (My case), Drinking Beverages with Alcohol, or can be Hereditary
The good thing about G.E.R.D. is that it can be a temporary thing and can be cured. It is never a permit thing even if you end up with it for the rest of your life it has the ability to be cured.
G.E.R.D. is caused by too much acid being created in your stomach. This can lead to or cause ulcers, esophagus damage, heartburn and/or damage in the mouth.
WHAT NOT TO DO!!!!
In most cases, stress is a factor to the reflux if you watch what you eat and reduce some of the stress it will help. If you watch what you eat for about a week you should find relief, if you do not then that is when you definitely what to listen to the doctor. Things to watch for are as follows:
Fatty Foods
Citrus Foods
Foods That Contain Grease
Fried Foods
Chocolate (including any Coco)
Caffeine
Smoking
Alcohol
Tomato Based Products
Lactose
WHAT TO DO!!
The two foods that I recommend is Black strap Molasses and Raw honey. The apple is better for night time reflux while these will work for just about all of it. What you will do is take about a tsp. of whatever one you chose. Molasses being the better because of strength and nutrition, but must be use to the taste. What the substance will do is stick to the sides of the esophagus and do two things, one is heal and the other is protect.
On the healing end, both substances have a healing property in them, and as they sit on the walls of the esophagus they will heal it. This is also helpful if you have a sore throat in the morning from refluxing.
On the protection end, both substances are high in sugar and when acid that is refluxed comes up to that the sugar will neutralize it and it will not longer be a problem at that point.
I would also look to putting Cinnamon and Ginger in you diet, they have been know to help with digestion and will help you reduce the amount of acid needed to brake down food, therefore causing you to reflux less.
It may be that you have a digestive intolerance to grains. Try staying away from them and eat apples/raisins/prunes to get your fiber until you get to the doc.
Also, keep a food diary of what you eat and what reactions you have if any, this will take some of the guess work out for the doc and he/she will be impressed!!
Or it could just be the esophagus
Esophagus: The tube that connects the pharynx (throat) with the stomach. The esophagus lies between the trachea (windpipe) and the spine. It passes down the neck, pierces the diaphragm just to the left of the midline, and joins the cardiac (upper) end of the stomach. In an adult, the esophagus is about 25 centimeters (10 inches) long. When a person swallows, the muscular walls of the esophagus contract to push food down into the stomach. Glands in the lining of the esophagus produce mucus, which keeps the passageway moist and facilitates swallowing. Also known as the gullet or swallowing tube. From the Greek oisophagos, from oisein meaning to bear or carry + phagein, to eat.
One of those annoying questions--"if I start blah blah when will I see results."?
I'm 18, female, and already quite thin (96 lbs, 5'1") but I've acquired a tummy bulge thanks to lack of exercise and fatty foods. I used to have a nice flat tummy...My nutritionist created a diet plan for me to "tone" and "gain muscle" because I'm obviously slender already.However,If I were to start hitting the gym atleast 2x a week (starting next week) and of course eating healthy, would I see results come December? Answers: Go with this:
Okay. Cut out eating in between meals.
Only eat healthy food and cut down on Carb’s like bread, potatoes, pasta's, rice, cereals, lollies, fruits etc. These are the fat making foods. Learn exactly what your food groups are so you then know what puts the weight on and off.
Don’t add salt to your meals. Cut out soft drinks.
Then walk an hour every morning two hours after a meal and the same in the afternoon.
If you can jog in between both sessions you'll burn even more calories. But just do what your body lets you do. Walking is just as good combined with diet control.
You should lose and continue to lose more weight as you go.
If you can cut out your lunch meal and replace it with a protein drink instead that would also help. Available in supermarkets. Like “Slim Right”.
As long as you can stay off junk food and eating in between meals. If you have to eat something in between have something like small raw carrots or celery sticks.
Herbal teas, low fat milk and water are your best choice of drinks.
Summary:
Choose a cereal low in sugar for breakfast. Remember all cereals are carbohydrates!
Lunch can best be a protein drink. Like “Slim Right”.
And all normal meals at a normal serve. Cut down on potatoes and only have small portions of these. Walking as much as you can.
For those that want to build more muscle add some gym work to the above as well.
Technical Stuff:
All our bodies require a specific quantity of a protein level. The protein is taken from the food we eat. If we eat higher concentrations of protein from specific foods like say meat then that level is reached quickly. If we don’t eat enough protein then our body searches for other sources of protein contained within the Carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates only contain a small amount of protein so we end up consuming too much of it just to get out limit of protein. At the same time absorbing too much sugar from the carbohydrates and in turn too much weight. This is how and why we put on weight. Many people over eat because they don’t consume enough protein from the right sources. Then they over compensate by binge eating carbohydrate type foods.
Will walking to school in the mornings help you lose weight?
does walking to school most days in a week in the morning walking to school taking about 25-30 minutes help you lose weight?Answers: it depends on how far school is away.
it may not necessarily help you lose weight, but it may help prevent weight gain to a degree, i.e. moreso than if you didn't.
but if you counted it the same way the government counts budget cuts, that would qualify as weight loss.
walking is not a good exercise but it will help loose some.
i try so hard to gain weight eating burger kings and used to eat Mcdonalds but burger king is better. I'm still slim as always :(
err idk. I walk to and from school and its about an hour walk total and my weight has been the same. In order to loose weight you have to get your heart pumping. It's healthy to ge approximately 10,000 steps a day and walking to school for 30 min. gets you 2,000 steps.

It wont help you lose wieght if you eat alot after ofbefore, it will burn some calories...you have to diet too, and add a diffrent work out.
Maybe if just that within 6 months you may see some change
omg yes. here's what i do: do everything that you do with purpose, like walking or opening doors, climbing stairs. push yourself and you'll be able to stay in good shape without officially working out. and only eat when you're hungry. even if it means you hardly eat at all one day, because you'll make up for it the next. let your body find it's own rythme about it.

yes.walking to school helps you to lose weight. on the other hand it also depends on what you eat. let say if you exercise/walk for 30-60 minutes and you ate a lot of food after which are high in fat/calories you exercise/walk is pointless.

I pack a lot of vegetables in small zipploc bags and put them in my purse. You can slice any fruit like apples, oranges, pineapples or just dried fruit like cranberries and others not very sugary. Also nuts and unsalted almonds are very good because they have omega 3 and they give you energy and make you full. I love it because when I'm hungry I just have a few nuts and they I don't over eat. Also put some lemon in your watter bottles and it will clean off your body.
