Why would my stomach hurt after eating chocolate coacoa puffs?
The past two times I've eating this cereal, my lower stomach has ached. Is it something to do with the chocolate or just a coincidence or what?Answers: Could be too much sugar... I've noticed I can't tolerate as much junk as I used to.

I don't know what is wrong with me. I weigh really little (95 pounds) and i have almost no fat on my chest, arms and legs. But my stomach and thighs are so fat, and i mean FAT. My body looks anorexic but my stomach and thighs look flabby and chunky. How do i change this? why does my body look the way it does?Answers: Walking to school alone won't do it. Cut on fatty and sugary foods. Don't cut on total calories, but increase your protein intake without fat. You have to be careful in picking the foods that have more protein and less fat; most meats have more fat than protein except grilled chicken breast, some fish etc. If your heart is in great shapeand yopu don't have any health problems such as diabetes etc., you can use more of eggs. Usually people avoid eggs because of their cholesterol content, but for healthy young people it shouldn't matter that much.
Second, you must boost your exercise routine. Do 50 to 100 crunches ( both oblique and straight), 50 to 100 leg raises, 50 to 100 v-situps every day for 4 to 5 days a week. Doing them in the morning will help your bowel movement also. Always listen to your body and tummy muscle to limit the number of repetitions per set and the number of sets each day. Do a 100 step climbs and 50 to 100 squats, preferably with some kind of weight on your shoulders, every day for 4 to 5 days a week. Then Jogg for an hour or run for about 1/2 hour every day for 4 to 5 days a week.
That's a lot to do you, I know. Don't do all at one time. Schedule yourself during the day to do these things without really killing yourself. Again listen to your body always. If it hurts somewhere, skip a day or two. If the muscles hurt sit in a bath tub for about 15 minutes. Make sure you get good sleep and avoid pills and stuff. Measure your tummy and thighs every other day at a fixed time of the day, usually early in the morning when you wake up. During the day, your tummy will measure differently at different times depending on what exercise you did prior to measuring and what kind of food and drink you used.
Your BMI is good and your weight is not bad at all. So all you have to do is to have a burning desire to accomplish this, then plan how your day is to be, and stick to your plan with all the will power you got. It takes time, patience and perseverence; don't expect quick results. You should be able to begin to see some difference in your tummy and thighs in a few weeks and a significant change in a few months if you are consistent in your practice. Believe that You Can Do It. With the information you give me, its hard to figure out for sure unless we see. But from what i can gather, i would say thats how your genes were made out to be. Fat is equally distributed to the entire body, it doesnt 'choose'. Likewise, you CANNOT 'target' an area to get rid of that fat. You either lose it generally, or yuo dont lose it at all. Thus, toning is a big myth if youre putting it on the context of 'getting rid of fat in this area'.
Do some aerobics, running specifically or jogging if thats too much for you.

I managed to lose 60lbs and I still ate what I wanted... just with strict moderation... but even then its still good that you avoid sweets and fats... look for fat free foods... or yogurts.... fat free chips taste awesome and yoplait fat free yogurt is good too.. Just because ur on a diet doesn't mean you have to strictly avoid the foods you love and have to eat salads.... but yes salads are good for cutting calories and vitamins.... I still eat out too but I don't upsize the meal and I always get diet for the drink.. And I usually try to get chicken.. If not a regular cheeseburger... but just don't eat out everday either.. ok...even though i'm a woman, i still managed to lose weight very quickly- 10 lbs in 3 weeks. I managed what I ate, as in no breads, diary, stuff like that...but i didn't any strenuous exercise. Ofcourse it was summer time and even walking around the block would get you sweating. This sounds silly, but I really do suggest doing yoga classes, especially the one in the hot sauna room. But only if you want to lose weight very quickly. You're going to have to be very strick with how you lead your life (food wise, ofcourse).
What is better going all natural or using supplements you get from a store?
apparently, i lack iron in my blood cause i have vertical ridges on my nails witch is a sign that you have a lack of iron.And i wanted to start taking supplements like N-o-explode to build my muscle.

Eat plenty of dark green leafy veg and liver. Both packed with iron. Iron supplements make you constipated.
Am I Healthy For A 12 Year old?
I am 5'1 and 95 pounds. No if someone tells me I am not healthy I wont go crazy and starve myself. But I want to know. And I know that as long as you feel comfortable about yourself then thats fine, which I do but like I said I just want to know if Im healthy.Answers: you may be healthy it really depends onwhat foods you eat and if you exercise regulary.

Answers: depends on how much of it is muscle and how much is fat. prolly not tons taller than you. There are some women who could lift you, granted half of them are on steroids.

A little thin maybe. Lucky for you there are a lot of women 5'8" or shorter.
Being tall is just an added perk, but not a must. Most women don't seem to care all that much as long as she isn't taller then you.

i think you are average for height and weight. the charts are meaningless so dont bother with them. im 6'3" and the chart says im supposed to be 180. i dont see myself as tall. i'm average for my family. if i weighed what chart says im supposed to weigh i would look like robert plant, too thin. every so often i see a woman taller than me, but most of the women i know are ohh 5'3" to 5'8", shorter than you. sure there are more women taller than you than are taller than me, but i do see a number of women taller than me. sometimes significantly taller but not very often at all. as for the lifting thing..... is that a bad thing?/
Please Help! "No Pain, No Gain" or My body telling me I'm working it too hard?
I recently joined a gym in an attempt to loose some weight. I haven't exercised much at all over the past 2 years so i'm just starting to warm my body back up. I've gone every day for the past 5 days and my routine is as follows: briskly walk 1 mile on the track, 12 minutes on a bike, 15 minutes on the treadmill. After dinner when i get home i do 10 minute soulutions Pilates DVD- 10 minutes for my abs and the 10 minute full body. Then i do some basic exercises on my big bouncy ball. My body definetly hurts and I've heard that this is good "no pain no gain" and i've also heard that this is my body telling me I'm pushing oto hard-What do you thinkAlso- I tried to do some exercising on the eliptical machine and I lasted about 4 minutes and thought I was going to die. It hurt so bad and I was so out of breath- is that normal?
Answers: You are fine. If you don't push yourself to the point of fatigue - when you just can't anymore - then you're doing it wrong. You're probably sore because you're not used to the sudden amount of exercise you've been doing lately.
Try this instead:
Okay. Cut out eating in between meals.
Only eat healthy food and cut down on Carb’s like bread, potatoes, pasta's, rice, cereals, lollies etc. These are the fat making foods. Learn exactly what your food groups are so you then know what puts the weight on and off.
Don’t add salt to your meals. Cut out soft drinks.
Then walk an hour every morning two hours after a meal and the same in the afternoon.
If you can jog in between both sessions you'll burn even more calories. But just do what your body lets you do. Walking is just as good combined with diet control.
You should lose and continue to lose more weight as you go.
If you can cut out your lunch meal and replace it with a protein drink instead that would also help. Available in supermarkets. Like “Slim Right”.
As long as you can stay off junk food and eating in between meals. If you have to eat something in between have something like small raw carrots or celery sticks.
Herbal teas, low fat milk and water are your best choice of drinks.
Summary:
Choose a cereal low in sugar for breakfast.
Lunch can best be a protein drink. Like “Slim Right”.
And all normal meals at a normal serve. Cut down on potatoes and only have small portions of these. Walking as much as you can.
For those that want to build more muscle add some gym work to the above as well.

All our bodies require a specific quantity of a protein level. The protein is taken from the food we eat. If we eat higher concentrations of protein from specific foods like say meat then that level is reached quickly. If we don’t eat enough protein then our body searches for other sources of protein contained within the Carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates only contain a small amount of protein so we end up consuming too much of it just to get out limit of protein. At the same time absorbing too much sugar from the carbohydrates and in turn too much weight. This is how and why we put on weight. Many people over eat because they don’t consume enough protein from the right sources. Then they over compensate by binge eating carbohydrate type foods.
"No pain, No Gain" is not good at all, you're just causing damage to your muscles, you should just work out 3-5 days a week for 20-45minutes, rest in between work out days (ex:M-W-F).... plus you should just focu on one thing, one day do walk & run the mile and do the total body work out,
then next time do the bike and a different total body work out routine or the bouncy ball and do abs... just break things into smaller chunks until your body adjust and then you can increase the intensity a little bit more to a more challenging level...

depends on how many calories you intake. you have to burn more than you take in obviously. if you can cut 100 calories a day, you should be able to lose 2 pounds or so a week...or so i've been told

I've been on a deit for 4 months now, and in the begining I lost some weight (like 10 lbs) and now that same diet which was working so well has backfired and made me gain all my weight back plus a bit more. It's not like a crash diet, it's the classic eat less junk and more good stuff and work out every day plan. I need to lose weigt to be healthy... mi doc. said so herself, so its not like I'm underweight or anything, I need to lose like 30 lbs to be healthy. So you need to keep better track of both.
Try cutting back gradually. 1600 a day to start. Then drop 100 calories a week until you're at 1200 a day. Always "think healthy first". Try fruit instead of giving into junk food snacks. Most fruits have a very high water content so they can make you feel fuller without gobbling a ton of empty calories. They also have a lot vitamins and minerals everyone can use especially when making big lifestyle changes. That combined with 30 to 40 minutes of exercise everyday should have you losing 2 to 3 healthy pounds a week. So start walking, then walk/jogging until you can do the whole 30 minutes without a rest. That will give you lasting results without starving yourself. Eat what you like. Of course healthier is better but not everyone is the salad and tofu type. Just keep a journal of everything you eat with the calorie count. That will give you and idea of where you need to make changes. It will work for you but if you're constantly outside the guidelines then you're only fooling yourself right? Good luck
Keep a food journal of exactly what you are eating and how much. You may be surprised when you see that your eating habits have probably changed a bit since the beginning. Begin with portion control. That is key. If you're eating the exact same way, you shouldn't be gaining weight...so keep track and figure it out.
What can I make a jump rope out of? (double dutch)?
My friends at school and I want to start jumping rope as part of our cardio workout. Problem is we don't have a jump rope! I was thinking clothes line... but is that too light weight? I need something I can get at a store nearby (San Diego area). Any other ideas? Maybe someone could recommend a certain kind of rope from a hardware store that might work or something!I would just order one off the internet, but I am at college and don't have a mailing address.

Answers: Well besides rope from the hardware store, you could braid plastic grocery bags together. I did it for my boys and once they are braided, they are supper strong. It takes some time to do it but it is neat.

We always used clothes line. You can get a vinyl wrapped clothes line too....it seems to carry just a bit more weight.

From the hardware store you can pick up rope of jute, or coir, or hemp, always see that it has weight, too light a rope wont help.Even fitness centres have skipping rope for exercise, but I find them too light.Heavy plastic rope too may help.

No. After a while it will make you look older. There are a lot of fat people who are chain smokers. So obviously it doesnt help you lose weight. But it will make you smell like crap. You can always smell a smoker. My aunt started smoking since she was 13. She is almost 40 now and said she wasnt going to smoke anymore. Its been 2 months and she said she is shocked when she smells her friends who are smokers, and she cant believe that she used to smell that way. They dont smell the smoke on themselves. And that smokers cough is so gross too. I've worked with those people and I couldnt stand when they start that coughing with the spit. GROSS!

A lot of people say that smoking makes you loose weight. Well the fact is it doesn't. What happens is instead of going to get a snack, you have a smoke, which reduces your caloric intake.
I would not recommend taking up smoking. There are other habits that will have the exact same effect that are much healthier and dont have the negative effects of smoking. Chewing a piece of gum, or sucking on mints will do the same thing.
Smoking wont make you sexy. If you start smoking by twelve, you could start to look crinkly by 21, and those are the good years of your life. You dont want to look 40 at the club Hun. Also cigarettes make your breath smell awful. Mints or gum on the other hand would make it smell fresh and pleasing to kiss.
I am not going to tell you what to do. I think you are informed and mature enough to make the right decision.
