Exercise is a major factor in loosing weight, not starving. For a fun way to loose wright is getting dance dance revolution. They even have a work out mode that counts your calories you're burning.
Eat a healthy breakfast lunch and dinner with minimum snacks. You should also eat within moderation. My favouite healthy meal is a smoothie. Blend frozen barries and low fat vanilla yogurt, it tastes better than ice cream.
Don't think of it as a diet or you'll be more prone to go back to 'normal'. Instead think of it as a way of life and how you live from now on. Self discipline is the key. This is how I've started thinking and it works much better.

Can drinking warm/hot water/tea after your meals help lose weight?
A friend told me that drinking warm/hot water/tea after your meals could help you lose weight by melting the food that's stuck to your stomach lining and esophagus... Is this true? I also read that when drinking really cold water can also help burn calories due to the fact that your body has to warm back up... For anyone trying to lose weight, this question is an exciting one! If you simply want to know if your body burns calories warming up the water, the answer is yes. But if you want to know if drinking a lot of ice water can help you lose weight, or keep weight off, this "yes" needs to be qualified with some calculations.
First of all, calories are case-sensitive. There are calories and then there are Calories. Calories with a big "c" are the ones used to describe the amount of energy contained in foods. A calorie with a little "c" is defined as the amount of energy it takes to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water 1 degree Celsius.
What most people think of as a Calorie is actually a kilo-calorie: It takes one Calorie to raise the temperature of 1 kilogram of water 1 degree Celsius. So when you drink a 140-Calorie can of cola, you are ingesting 140,000 calories. There is no cause for alarm, because the conversion applies across the board. When you burn 100 Calories jogging a mile, you are burning 100,000 calories.
So, considering that the definition of a calorie is based on raising the temperature of water, it is safe to say that your body burns calories when it has to raise the temperature of ice water to your body temperature. And unless your urine is coming out ice cold, your body must be raising the temperature of the water. So calories are being burned.
Let's figure out exactly what you're burning when you drink a 16-ounce (0.5 liter) glass of ice water:
• The temperature of ice water can be estimated at zero degrees Celsius.
• Body temperature can be estimated at 37 degrees Celsius.
• It takes 1 calorie to raise 1 gram of water 1 degree Celsius.
• There are 473.18 grams in 16 fluid ounces of water.
So in the case of a 16-ounce glass of ice water, your body must raise the temperature of 473.18 grams of water from zero to 37 degrees C. In doing so, your body burns 17,508 calories. But that's calories with a little "c." Your body only burns 17.5 Calories, and in the grand scheme of a 2,000-Calorie diet, that 17.5 isn't very significant.
But let's say you adhere to the "eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day" nutritional recommendation. In 64 ounces of water, there are 1,892.72 grams. So to warm up all that water in the course of a day, your body burns 70,030 calories, or 70 Calories. And over time, that 70 Calories a day adds up. So, while you definitely shouldn't depend on ice water consumption to replace exercise or a healthy diet, drinking cold water instead of warm water does, in fact, burn some extra Calories!

Drinking really cold water helps your muscles more than any of those drinks such as Gatorade and stuff. It doesn't burn the calories.
a friend of mine drinks nothing but water and tea. i think tea will help, because of the proteins and minerals inside. some teas can help u burn more calories. water, i believe, just leaves less space in your stomach, but hydrates you for energy and exercise. i'm not so sure on the temp. of water but if i were you, i would drink water in the morning and for lunch, and tea for the evening, so u could probably burn some calories faster before and when you sleep.
How to run fast for 7 min?
i have a physical education test next week in gym and i have to run at least 24 laps, this week i had to run for 10 min and i only did 31 laps (the passing is 30) thsis time we have to run for 7 min. i practice running everyday but still i was the 5th one in my class i wanted to be the first. Is there anything i can eat or do to boost up my speed without geting tired.. and plz dont give me stupid advise, if u cant answer plz dont spamAnswers: The only way to run fast in a race is to train face in practice. I don't know how much you can improve in a week. But doing intervals will help.
Run hard (all out) for 30 seconds, then easy until you've caught your breath, then run hard again. Do this five times but only twice a week, otherwise your might get injuries from overtraining.
On the non hard days, just run easy and build up to 30 minutes. Once you can run easily for 30 minutes. Pick up the pace on your 30 minutes runs. Continue to run your intervals too. Just make sure you tak a couple days off a week.
Pace yourself.
You can slightly lean forward and let gravity help you out.
DON'T STOP!
If you got it in you when theres 30 seconds left burst it out hard.

It is how many calories your body burns without exercise.
Different people have different rates,and as you age your rate slows.
Resting metabolism is just that your energy requirements when resting.
So, yes it is almost the same thing, we normally have activities besides exercise, like standing and sitting, which are considered as part of our metabolism.
I am not sure what you mean by breaks our tissues.
Some things that do change our metabolism is weight, illness, and body mass or the amount of lean muscle.
Has anyone tried Bob Greene "the best life diet" and has a good or bad report about it??
Answers: The one thing I noticed right away is that Bob Greene was being paid (very well) to promote the brand name foods of the companies he sells in his book. The diet itself is fine..eat right and exercise. The basis of any healthy weight loss program. But I wouldn't take his grocery list to the local supermarket. This diet wouldn't fool people with an above average knowledge of nutrition and fitness. Follow the food pyramid and exercise for 30 to 40 minutes a day everyday and you'll be on the right track...good luck

can anyone tell me some variations for press ups? i do about 80 a day, and need to start varying my routine.Answers: Most of the variants are with hand positioning. Close in (near center of chest), shoulder width, or further. I sometimes will also turn my hands outward (fingers out) for a different feel.
There's lots of yoga moves that work the same muscles as pushups. You can try "sun salutations".

Pine cone pushups. Put your pointer and thumb tips together and make the negative space look like a pine tree. Lay hands flat and touch your nose to the ground without touching the rest of your face to your fingers.

a lot. keep in mind, u also burn calories when sleeping, in the classroom, everywhere. i recommend celery, it gets ur metabolism going and u burn more calories faster.
just 1 calorie hunny walk to the end of your drive way thats about 5 cals right there and 2 miles is deff not just for one calorie if 2 miles was just for one calorie than everyone would be running all the time or be fat

As for your question about working out, the key point is that you don't bore yourself doing it, aka you have to make it interesting, do a different variations of the same thing... ie if you run every day, choose a different route from time to time, switch running partners etc...
Also, to keep you motivated, you should always remind yourself of your goal and how you will look and feel better when you lose weight. You should FEEL the excitement that weight loss will bring you. That will move you forward towards your goal.

i know easy to type/say - but the truth is when i eat less and modify what my intake is i actually lose effortlessly and it actually stays off.

You must get more active! Every activity burns calories.Every activity uses calories just some more than others!So try to walk and move about more.

Your diet obviously needs to change.Please stop drinking your calories!No more sodas or dairy drinks (latte, cappucinos etc) Even diet soda is out.
You need to increase your fibre and lean protein and slow burn carbohydrates!
Soy protein is great, try soy yoghurts for 7g protein, try Kashi crunch cereal for fibre and protein or oats served with apple sauce again, slow burn carbs and fibre!
Get more active and eat better and drinks lots of water.

The best way to lose weight is to change diet and exercise on regular basis.
Have a healthy diet: dark green vegetables, fresh fruits, whole wheat and whole grain products, non-fat dairy products, fish, poultry breast, lean red meat, egg white.
You should cut out all sugar, soda, non-whole grain products and saturated fats. Balanced permanent diet is very important. Do not skip meals but also do not eat between meals. Water is impotent too. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.
Any workout can help with weight loss. However, the most effective is aerobic exercise like walking, running, swimming, yoga ...
