Answers: there isnt really an average person amount, it varies from person and also what you are trying to do. if you want me to give a number...say 50grams a day, up to 100g if you are seriously working out and want to get in shape.
Avergae is 0.5g per pound you weigh but if your exercise regulary, everyday for atleast 45 min..you should eat 1.0 gram per pund you weigh..bodybuildinyou should eat 1.5-2.0g per pound
Why can't i loose the wight?
I'm 17 ( female) and i want to weight 135-145lbs! buti weigh 180! i'm 5'7 ( average height) but i've tried lost of things includin fruits vegtables and excercise and diets never seem to work ! i either crack or they just fail! i want to do this naturally (no pill or surgery) but this really hard for me! can you help me out? please no smartAnswers: Well, one thing to do is to cut out all soda, mochas, fast food, and anything with heavy sodium, then drink water. Or, what I do instead is play DDR. That is a cardiovascular workout thats also entertaining. Plus in the winter you don't get cold. Its a great alternative to running.
Another thing is to eat small portions. Get a whole plate of stuff and only eat half of it. As you eat less, your stomach will gradually shrink to the point where eating a lot is hard cause you get full quicker.
One thing that I started, and changed a few times now, but its working is, I eat a single Blue Berry Bagel in the morning, plain, nothing on it. Then lunch consists of something like an icecream bar, small bag of chips, something like a snack food in small porportions. Or, I just drink water and forgo the food. Then dinner consists of a cup or two of rice and a small scoop of butter, and water.
It sounds plain, but its not so bad. Eating something like an icecream bar helps cut cravings and helps me from falling off the diet completely.
Make sure you are balancing out your diet.. Don't overeat or anything like that. You don't weigh enough to qualify for any type of surgery either.
You may have a thyroid problem. That's the first thing that comes to my mind. Talk to your doctor and work out a plan and see if that works. Make sure you stick with it. If not, you may just have an internal health problem

I know what it feels like to try almost everything and never have any success. But losing weight all comes down to this...you have to burn more calories than you eat. Stop eating fast food, cold cuts, junk food and stop drinking soda. Drink skim milk instead of homogenized milk.

Why are we not losing weight?
Sorry if this is a common question but my friend and I need help. We started working out in the beginning of September. We reduced our calorie intake and started working out at the fitness center for a half an hour each day. We were still gaining so we decided to reduce our calories again and increase the excersize. We now excersize twice a day, 5 times a week. She runs on the treadmill and burns 600-700 calories a day and I do a calorie program on the eliptical which burns 1400 calories a day. Then we lift weights for a half an hour. Even with all of this, she is gaining, and I am staying the exact same on the scale. I can feel the workout in my abs but I don't know why we aren't losng the weight. She is about ready to just give up on excersizing because she is gaining.Answers: You should be losing inches. You are probably not gaining because you are losing fat and replacing it with muscle, which weighs more.

Ugh i just binged?
i've been trying my hardest to eat healthy & lose weight. And I just binged horribly. I feel discusting.It's only 12:21 and so far today i've eaten 12 peanut butter sandwich cookies, 2 bowls of ziti which had meat balls & pepperoni in it, a non fat yogurt, & an apple.

Today is your cheat day. Don't worry about it or beat yourself up.
Most people fail at diets because they have a slip up and just give up.
Look at the big picture. It's what you do over time that matters.
Note: I don't know if it's possible for you to do, but if you can keep cookies out of the house. You can't eat it if you don't have it in your kitchen.

Why not try & 'release' the guilt by doing a little exercising now? If you're feeling kind of sluggish after binging drink lots of water & try to keep your diet more scheduled for tomorrow. The trouble with dieting is the strong will needed. Good luck.

No it depends on your body, but I don't think you'll gain weight, it's never too late to restart, you should go on a diet and write a chart to make sure you stay on track. Not to mention exercise, depending on how "chunky"(I hate the word fat) you are.

No, 1 binge wont make you get fat all of a sudden. Just make sure you go back to your routine. You should always have a deterint when on a diet, when I was on mine I had a little zapper.

Well, I can't disagree, you REALLY overdid. Drink a lot of water and get outside and run, walk, ride your bike and then for the rest of the day keep busy so you don't keep on doing this. We all overindulge at times, which is okay, but then limit to some extent what you eat for the next few days so things balance out and keep on with the exercise. You really didn't have to eat that much you know. Half of that would have been more than enough. I'm sure your belly hurts.
Remember you want to be able to fit into cute clothes and not just wear sweat pants with a stretchy waist and how bad you felt when you couldn't wear the clothes you wanted to. It's not about being skinny, it's about being a decent, healthy weight where you can wear cute clothes.
Don't start tomorrow, start again now!
A couple of things you can do:
1) go for a light walk. This will help rid you of that 'ugggh' feeling. 20 minutes is good.
2) plan your next meal and make it a healthy one.
Also, try to find out WHY you binged. Are you banning foods and your cravings became too intense? If so, plan on allowing yourself a treat once in a while. Its great for morale, and keeps cravings under control. Was it stress? Emotional eating? Finding out why it happened can help prevent it in the future.

Beer weight?? OK so my really good friend quit drinking beer bout 3 months ago.?

How can I make my body?
I go to gym everyday for workout, after 3 month I can see some result in my body,,, but when I workout my muscles shows big but after 20 min being away from gym their blow out... and I'm worout hard(lifting, bench,...)Answers: It takes time. The reason your muscles shrink is because during a workout, blood pumps them up for the job. After they relax, the blood flow slows and the muscle shrinks back.
