How can i increase my "game" (as surrounded by stamina, strength etc)?

I decided to play a little pick-up game of flag football next to some friends after church this last sunday and after only a few plays my lower body was sore and i was out a breath, to my suprise. I'm currently tryin to lose weight, i started back within september and i made some really good gain in terms of muscle, and lost close to ten pounds in cycling classes, then i stopped for about a month or two and started again a couple weeks ago. I really haven't done much running for cardio, but it still suprised me that i still couldn't keep hold of up with my friends at all. what can i do to increase my stamina and strength?/ (i assume the weight loss will newly come with the training)
Answers:    tread mill walk 5 days per week for 40-60 minutes will improve your spectator sport .
