When should i nick a protein shake?


i am thinking of starting on protein shakes to bulk up cos im sick of people picking fights cos i look weak. im reasonably a slim build i 5' 11" 70kg but my 1RM for free bench is 150kg. i was wondering cos i get quite hungry at work should i produce a protein shake and have in my break instead of coffee and biscuits or just previously an after workout. i've heard that the kidneys will just filter the extra protein into urine rather than to my muscles and fleece and nails an such

your supposed to embezzle a protein shake several hours before u work out so the proteins can be dissolved and used by your body. dont take the shakes if your not going to work out and u need to work out tricky any thing u dont use will be turned into fat

and also dont eat after u work out so u should work out right earlier u go to sleep and yes your body will take out any extra minerals that arent "used". so work out as much as you can before u crash

and dude 70kg and 150kg explicitly seriuosly insane

u weigh 154 pounds and u bench 330 pounds thats not bad a average persons total possible max is twice their own weight(if a guy wieghs 300 and is fat as hell after it this statistic doesnt count this is more so suited to people with a low bady fat percentage)
I don't know that a protein shake will help you bulk up, but it might give you more heartiness to work out. Drink it whenever you feel like you should... if you feel approaching you need a boost in the morning drink that instead of your breakfast, or if you always touch a bit sluggish at a certain time during the day drink one then. Just brand sure you are still eating a balanced diet as well.
your body naturally absorb at average 20 grams of protien a day as muscle. but after a workout there is a period of time around 50 minutes long where on earth your body will use all protien taken in as muscle tissue growth. see the way muscles grow is by small micro tares. protien will spread in these tares. as you can imagine if you stretch a marshmellow it gets bigger. but its not as solid or strong. whene you workout your essentually doing this to your muscles. and protien is what make them strong and solid again. so the best time to drink a protien shake would be imediatly after a workout so your body has around 50 minutes to turn it into muscle mass =] Source(s): just recently talk to a physician about bulking up for my football sesion

Your metabolism is probably glorious like mine and our bodies will burn anything that comes in its way. You entail to intake more calories daily! You are what you eat right? I need to intake almost 3000 calories daily sense my body and metabolism burn about 2500. So your probably around there resembling myself.
I take my protein shakes, in the morning and a couple hours before bed. Hoped I help :)
