Is this a decent lunch?

1 lean turkey burger (19 grams of protein, only 9 grams of fat)
1 total wheat bun
fat free cheese
a moment or two bbq sauce
steamed broccoli

Answers:    Wow, what kinda cheese are you eating that's excess weight free? I'd like to know so I can check it out and recommend it to family when they ask me for advice on what to put away, since I'm a nutrition major. Anyway, it sounds resembling an overall healthy banquet except to know for sure, id' have to read the label and all the nutrition facts. Did you produce the turkey patty yourself or be it already formed and seasoned in the roll? If it came package, becareful because a lot of companies put tons of unnessary brackish in the burger patty among other things. Whole wheat buns are good but you still hold to be careful on what you're buying simply because it says "full wheat." A good track to know if it's a good undamaged wheat bread is to do the squeeze test- squeeze the bread or press down on it a little. If the bread is really soft and squishy, it doesn't really hold that much whole grain/wheat within it. You wanna go for the breads that are more dense and don't capture squished as easily. Look for a bread that contains at least possible 10% of the daily effectiveness for dietary fiber (you can find that info on the nutrition facts next to the number of grams of fiber).

I don't give attention to bbq sauce is that bad but in recent times don't use too much because it sometimes can have a significant amount of sugar. Sugar is of late empty calories when you could be intake calories from something else with more nutritional meaning. The steamed broccoli sounds good but only don't cook it too long. Steaming broccoli for a short period of time is a correct way to cook your vegetables in need losing too much of the vitamins. Oh, and 1/2 cup is equal to a serving of fresh vegetables or fruit (1/4 cup if it's dried or 1/2 cup if it's juice)...make sure you're consumption at least 5-9 servings a daytime.
yeah.
just shift easy on the bbq sauce.
:)
Yes its on form. Very good.

Personally I'd influence go next to some dijon mustard instead of the BBQ sauce, but other than that you've get a really good lunch occurring there.
Yeah thats really heathly and next to the protein it will be u energized and full through out the day cause you not to eat as much. But its sounds apt to me : ) Not enough fat--you'll be hungry surrounded by an hour and probably gobble more calories. Try full fat cheese and mustard instead of BBQ to set off out the calories.
yes you know it is healthy so dont ask. nature of but if you want to lose weight nifty stay low on the bbq sauce and more vegtables
- If the turkey burger is ground turkey breast (white meat) & has no other additives similar to extra sugar (disguised as dextrose) and has no modified food corn starch or hydrogenated oil --> then it looks pretty honourable to me --> 9 grams of fat seem a bit high for white meat though, I so don't feel that's what it is --> you should look for white meat burgers - better yet, brand name you own so you KNOW what is in it!
- How lots grams of fiber does that bun have? And how oodles calories - if it is over 200 with 1 or 2 grams of fiber, nix it! Go beside a bun that has smaller quantity calories and more fiber per serving! Better yet jump with WHOLE WHEAT BREAD instead of a bun because no issue what 2 slices of bread will have smaller quantity calories than one large BUN
- As for the excess weight free cheese - EW - I am sorry but cheese is not all that pious for anyone! I would put avocado in at hand if you needed a "cheese like" texture in your sandwich, or lately put some mustard...
- BBQ sauce? Be sure it is sugar free - which will be hard to find!
- And immediately you THINK I am going to critique you on the broccoli but I am not because that is a flawless addition!!

** All contained by all though - you lunch within a nice balance of carbs, protein & stout = essential for energy! **
It is pretty natural, but did you know that the leanest hamburger you can buy at the grocery store (I think it is ground round or chuck) have less overweight than turkey burger. I thought turkey burger was the leanest, until my mother proved me wrong sooner or later. But overall the turkey is a good choice. The intact wheat bun is an excellent choice, just keep watch on the calories, it shouldn't hurt you though, I really like the Sara Lee Heart Health buns. Not amazingly healthy, 9 grams of drenched fat is method too high. It would be better to put away a good size serving of lean turkey or chicken meat to use up the saturated plump intake. Your body does not need wet through fat within your diet. It happily make its on its own.

Rather to get decent fats affix a 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil to your vegetables. Broccoli is pack full of nutrients but you have need of to get a all-embracing array of vegetables of different colors into your diet.

In other words get lubricant from olive oil, nuts, seed, avocado rather after from meat and milk products

You could add sliced red pepper to your broccoli.

Be absolute the whole wheat bun is indeed 100% integral wheat.

Also, add fresh fruit to your lunch. An apple is other a good choice.
OMG I have almost the exact same lunch as you today, except instead of broccoli I had 2 apples, and I have a pickle with my burger!! Yes this is a great lunch, my nutritionist in reality gave this to me on one of my recipe's to choose day after day from!
GOOD LUCK & Great choice!

Like everyone else said, just survey your portions of BBQ sauce, which I'm sure your aware of since you've made the right choices of everything else. You're body needs for a while sugar, this will help you to not crave sweets so much subsequently!
NO, THIS IS NOT A HEALTHY LUNCH!
