Interval training vs. jog?

Will this be a sufficient interval training, having a brisk meander for 5 min then do 1 min at a unconscious sprint then 2 min run, repeat 5 times. and end next to a 5 min cool down walk.

vs.

a plain 30 minute run at 7 mph close to i have be doing for the past 2 months.

I own heard that interval training is track better for burning fat during and even after the workout is over.

I ask this because i want to lose another 10lbs by the back of march. I started at 180lbs and enjoy dropped down to 163lbs currently and want to by around 155ish. I am 5-10 and want that "ufc" body.

Will the interval training be better for fat loss or should i stick next to regular distance running. I would go up 1 set on the interval train respectively week though, and i usually increase my jogging time by 2 min every week. I obligation some suggestions on which is better

Answers:    2. High Intensity Anaerobic Interval Training

The second key "ingredient" surrounded by fat loss programming is soaring intensity interval training (HIIT).

Interval training burns more calories than steady state and elevates metabolism significantly more than other forms of cardio.

Here's the study most recurrently cited:
Tremblay A, Simoneau JA, Bouchard C. Impact of exercise intensity on body fatness and skeletal muscle metabolism.
Metabolism. 1994 Jul;43(7):814-8

The researchers compared 20 weeks of long, slow training (for a total of 28661 calories) to 15 weeks of interval training (for a total of 13614 calories).

The subjects did a combination of short-intervals (15-30 sec. x 10-15 bouts - retrieval to 120 heart rate) and long-intervals (60-90 sec x 4-5 bouts - recovery to 120 heart rate).

Although the interval training group burned not as much of than half the total calories, they lost nine times more subcutaneous overweight per calorie burned.

Another study (Talanian, Galloway et al, Two weeks of High-Intensity Aerobic Interval Training increases the capacity for portly oxidation during exercise in women. J Appl Physiol (December 14, 2006) showed aerobic interval training (specifically 4 min. on/2 min. stale x 10) significantly increased fat oxidation.

Translation: You'll burn more margarine all sunshine long regardless of the activity.

Bottom row - interval training burns more fat although a "limp sprint" isn't necessary or even recommended. - Stephen
