Answers: Don't be so worried about how early it is.
Quick weight loss isn't neccessary. And it isn't possible to lose it high-speed AND keep it bad.
Just start making healthier choices within your diet (read: veggies trump cheeseburgers) and work out a couple times a week until it is a habit. You don't even own to go to the gym if you don't want. Go on walk, play DDR, there are lots of things to do.
And relocate small habits, approaching don't have second helping. Or take the stairs to work or class instead of the elavator. Small things give up!
