My 11 year-old son who is within 5th order really like to guzzle such as pizza, fried chicken, steak, bread, cheese?
How do I control his appetite without have to tell him he desires to stop when he is eating. I feel bad other said "remember,, don't eat too much, it'll craft your stomach ache" or please don't finish all your rice or potato (I thought restaurant portions are intended for adult). I don't want my son growing up like I'm controlling what he put away and how much he should eat. He is totally independent and responsible kid, got worthy grades, but not really into sport. Do you think if I verbs asking him to control his intake can possibly give him something glum which effect his personality or thrilling being? Please abet.. thanks!
Answers: I go through this with my son and it is severely hard to control what children devour. I finally just took the time to generate the foods he liked solely I cut calories by using lower fat cheese on the pizza, oven fry the chicken and I kept lower calorie cheeses on paw. I think it is something that you hold to do and it is hard because kids do love nippy foods.
if i were you when you bring in dinner put smaller portions on his plate. also when you make dinner instead of have the vegetables where he can see them try to engender it mix with the food. Don't verbs hes also young so it really doesn't issue how much he eats.if you are really that worried merely tell him if he keep eating close to that he'll be fat when he grows up He is lone 11, and still needs a mom to backing guide him. Don't be so nervous around steak and cheese. So much good nutrition within them. Even pizza has appropriate points. Soft drinks are the biggest danger for kids, and close to you said -- breads and carbs. Even grown men seem to avoid vegetables! but you can find the ones he like and have them repeatedly.
I know what you are going through and its not easy trying to explain to a child they own to cut down on their eating. if you read aloud something they just say aloud are you saying i am to podginess when its the opposite you are recounting them. all i can suggest is sitting down chitchat to your child and ask why he does this and that you are trying to help him
